『Sogang Korean, Revised 3rd Edition』 was designed by Sogang University Korean Language Education Center teachers based on their extensive experience in classrooms to help students efficiently learn and master language and culture.
We've reflected the latest trends to keep pace with the changing times, and we've taken advice from many of you who support Sogang to enhance convenience for both instructors and students.

『Sogang Korean Revised 3rd Edition』 is based on a curriculum of 200 hours, with 100 hours of speaking, 25 hours of reading and speaking, and 25 hours of listening.
It is structured as 25 hours of speaking and 50 hours of writing.

In August 2024, 『Sogang Korean Student's Book 1A.1B』, 『Sogang Korean Workbook 1A.1B』, 『Sogang Korean Hangul』, and 『Sogang Korean Writing Book 1A.1B』 were published.

Following this, we have published the new 『Sogang Korean Student's Book 2A.2B』 and 『Sogang Korean Writing Book+ 2A.2B』.
『Sogang Korean Writing Book+ 2A.2B』 is a combined version of the existing 『Writing Book』 and 『Workbook』, reflecting the needs of teachers and learners.

All content in the 『Sogang Korean Student's Book』 is presented in a way that allows you to intuitively understand the context by looking at the pictures.
Additionally, vocabulary and grammar learning can help you improve fluency and accuracy through conversations and activities.

Scanning the QR code will connect you to a recorded conversation file, and a variety of fun Sogang-specific conversation activities are included in the appendix.
Words and expressions are translated to give their meaning in a given context and included in a separate volume, “Grammar and Vocabulary Reference.”

The cultural section is designed to be understandable with just photos and illustrations, and QR codes link to YouTube videos related to Korean culture to help you understand real-life Korean life.

We hope that 『Sogang Korean, Revised 3rd Edition』 will be a useful textbook for Korean language learners who are interested in Korean culture and are challenging themselves to study Korean, as well as for instructors who are preparing effective classes.
