Basic Korean Writing and Expressions
Description
Book Introduction
『Basic Korean Writing and Expression』 is a textbook for Korean writing classes for international students and can also be used as a workbook.
This textbook contains writing techniques necessary for university students and prospective university students at the intermediate level or higher of TOPIK to take university lectures.
In particular, we focused on writing reports to help international students succeed in college (graduate school).
This textbook consists of a total of 12 lessons, with Part 1 focusing on learning the basics and Part 2 on writing reports.
Part 1: Learning the Basics is the part where you prepare to write an academic report.
We started by having foreign students recognize the difference between spoken and written Korean and learn written expressions, and then practice correct Korean sentences and paragraphs.
And, after understanding how to cite and cite sources from an ethical perspective in writing, you can practice it.
Part 2: Writing a Report is a step-by-step process where you learn how to write a report.
After foreign students selected their own topic, they were asked to find materials in the library, write an outline based on the materials, and write an introduction, main body, and conclusion.
And, as a way to ensure a high level of completion of the report, we made it possible to revise the report through group evaluation.
As an appendix, we have included instructions for using the Sangheo Memorial Library at Konkuk University and examples of university reports for international students.
If you make good use of the library, you will be able to lay the foundation for a good report.
And, reading reports from classmates of the same age can also help develop your writing skills.
To assist in writing the report, three reports from international students currently enrolled at Konkuk University are provided as an appendix.
