Hong Gil-dong was born as the illegitimate son of Hong Dae-gam.
Hong Gil-dong resented his low status and learned martial arts and Taoism.
The family tries to get rid of Hong Gil-dong for fear that he will bring trouble to the family.
Hong Gil-dong leaves home.
Hong Gil-dong creates Hwalbindang and takes grain from temples and government offices and distributes it to the people.
Take away the wealth of corrupt officials and punish them.
The country tries hard to catch Hong Gil-dong, but to no avail.
The king grants Hong Gil-dong the position of Minister of War as per his wish.
Hong Gil-dong, whose wish came true, leaves Joseon with Hwalbindang and establishes a new country.
