Listening passage

This book has the following features:


First, this book is divided into two volumes: ‘Vocabulary/Grammar’ and ‘Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing.’
'Vocabulary and Grammar' corresponds to knowledge of the Korean language, and is structured so that after learning the knowledge, you can learn language functions, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing, based on that knowledge.
Therefore, it is structured so that you can learn the 'vocabulary/grammar' section and communicate using the 'listening/speaking/reading/writing' section.


Second, although ‘vocabulary and grammar’ are considered language knowledge, they were developed with a focus on how they are connected to ‘Korean language use’ rather than being learned as knowledge.
Therefore, the usage practice for vocabulary and grammar is structured in stages so that you can practice from easy to difficult.


Third, 'Vocabulary and Grammar' is composed of 16 lessons, and each lesson consists of approximately 30 vocabulary and expressions and 4 grammar items, so that practice is possible within 120 or 130 minutes.
Additionally, a comprehensive exercise is included at the end of each lesson to help you review the vocabulary and grammar you learned in that lesson.


Fourth, all subjects are organized by topic.
The title of each unit will soon become the topic.
Therefore, 'Vocabulary/Grammar' was set to clearly reveal the subject matter, and the corresponding functions, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing, were designed to enable this.


Fifth, the 'Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing' section is designed to cover similar topics twice per lesson, allowing for a variety of practice on the topic.
In particular, we have designed a variety of speaking activities to ensure that learners can get meaningful practice that suits their interests and concerns, including speaking and reading.


Sixth, after completing listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities, we created ‘homework’ to enable integrated function practice.
We also included 'Why do you say this?' to help you understand Korean language and culture more deeply.


Seventh, at the end of each lesson, we have included a ‘self-assessment’ section so that students can check for themselves whether they have achieved the learning objectives of the lesson, including vocabulary and grammar.
