The Ewha Korean Reference Book series is a supplementary textbook to the Ewha Korean textbook, Ewha Womans University Language Education Center, which is leading the way in Korean language education for foreigners.
This reference book is designed to be helpful to both self-students and instructors, while providing more detailed explanations of the contents of this textbook.
Unlike this textbook, which was published in English, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) editions only for beginner levels 1 and 2, this reference book has the unique characteristic of being published in English, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) editions for all levels 1 to 6, taking into account the convenience of learners in each language group.
In the case of the 6th grade reference book being published this time, the original textbook was written only in Korean, but translations and explanations for new words and expressions were added to help learners understand the meaning.


The 'Let's Get Ready' section in each lesson of the 6th grade reference book is divided into the 'Grammar' section, which explains the grammar presented in this textbook in a slightly easier and clearer way, and the 'Grammar Expansion' section, which advances to an advanced level based on that grammar. It is also organized to allow for efficient study by including answers to the practice problems in this textbook.
In 'Let's Listen' and 'Let's Read', the meaning and usage of vocabulary and expressions appearing in this textbook are explained in detail and appropriate examples are provided to help learners understand Korean expressions more easily.
It also includes helpful tips on how to read the listening and reading passages in the textbook, along with answers and helpful explanations for the practice problems in the textbook.


'Vocabulary Expansion' shows the meaning of the expanded vocabulary introduced in each unit and examples of how these vocabulary is used appropriately, and 'Idioms' provides the meanings and examples of usage of various four-character idioms, including those found in the textbook, to guide learners in using four-character idioms appropriately for the situation.
Additionally, in the 'Word Check' corner, the meanings of new words included in the textbook for each unit are translated and presented by language group, and vocabulary and additional expressions related to the topic are expanded and provided, allowing students to effectively conclude their studies for each lesson.
In addition, the index contains a comprehensive list of vocabulary from this textbook and reference books to serve as a vocabulary list.


The Ewha Korean Reference Book series, which is organically linked to the textbook while also serving as an excellent self-study guide in its own right, will be an excellent guide for learners who continue to study Korean both inside and outside the classroom.
It will also serve as an appropriate guide for teachers teaching Korean through Ewha Korean to assess and determine the level of class content.
