This textbook is a customized vocabulary textbook for international students taking their first steps into university life in Korea.
To help students overcome various difficulties encountered in an unfamiliar environment and achieve a successful study abroad experience, we have compiled 12 topics frequently encountered in actual university life.
This textbook allows you to learn step-by-step from vocabulary related to the topic to writing.

The unique feature of this textbook is that it goes beyond simply memorizing vocabulary and uses a metacognitive approach to structure the lessons so that learners can engage in active learning experiences.
We selected vocabulary frequently used in actual college life and organized the course into the following steps: [Think about the topic - Think of words - Expand expressions - Use vocabulary and expressions - Practice more - Check vocabulary - Organize - Try it yourself].


Additionally, after Lessons 6 and 12, comprehensive problems are provided to summarize what has been learned, and vocabulary can be gradually improved from beginner to intermediate levels in accordance with the International Korean Language Standard Curriculum (2017).


In particular, it was designed to help learners visually understand the relationships between words by utilizing Word Web, and to display the difficulty level of words along with example sentences so that learners can check their own vocabulary level.
Additionally, we wanted to help with learning by providing 850 carefully selected vocabulary words translated into four languages: English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese.

This textbook goes beyond simple vocabulary acquisition. It will help you develop initiative and confidence in your Korean language learning through metacognitive strategies, and improve the practical communication skills necessary for university life in Korea.
I hope that through this textbook, you will not only improve your Korean language skills but also experience a rich study abroad experience.
