Description
Book Introduction
[When Buckwheat Flowers Bloom] is a short story about the life of a peddler.
This work beautifully and sadly depicts the life of a wandering peddler who visits a market that opens once every five days.
Heo Saeng-won is an old merchant.
He spent half his life wandering from market to market, carrying goods on a donkey.
Heo Saeng-won especially liked Bongpyeong Market.
It was because of the story of how he met a girl at a water mill when he was young and spent the night with her.
One summer day, when a market was held in Bongpyeong, Heo Saeng-won was accompanied by a young man named Dong.
Dong-i was a young man who was born without a father and became a merchant.
Heo Saeng-won feels an inexplicable affection for Dong-i.
And Dong-i finds out that he is left-handed like her.
