Mothers with a high level of educational enthusiasm from all over the country, including Gangnam District 8 and Mokdong
A popular lecture that many people are rushing to sign up for
Introducing the 'Nuribodem Mom's English 7-Week Course'!

The 'Nuribodem Mom's English 7-Week Lecture', which has been receiving rave reviews from mothers across the country since its first lecture in 2017, is now available as a book.
This book is a 'short-term roadmap' that condenses the 8 years of know-how of Nuri Bodum, a 'persistent mother who is not good at English', who got her son Bandi, who had no exposure to English until he was 7, into a foreign university at the age of 16, into 7 weeks.
After publishing her first book, "Mom's English: Now, Let's Start," the author met with numerous mothers across the country and gave lectures, realizing that there are still many mothers and children who suffer from "English phobia before entering elementary school."

“I’m starting school next year, but I haven’t had to study English even once.
What if my child falls behind?
“I can’t even imagine teaching my mom English because I’m not good at English.”

The author decided to compile all the contents of the '7-week continuous lecture' into a book to give courage and confidence to mothers who are stressed about English as their children enter elementary school.
From making an English study plan to the final step of reading original texts and achieving explosive output, we provide coaching on a 7-week practical method that even mothers who are not good at English can easily follow.
Additionally, for mothers who have never chosen an English book before, we curate and introduce famous original books such as single volumes by author, Newbery Award winners, and videos such as movies and animations. We have also increased usability by including an educational community where children can enjoy playing games in English as a QR code.
This book will serve as the 'easiest and fastest guide to liberating English' for children and mothers about to enter elementary school.

Into the book
The reason I was able to continue with the Nuribodempyo Mom's English program was because I could see my child's progress.
After about four months of Little Fox, my child began reading simple 'sight words'.
It was really amazing and wonderful.
Even when watching a movie by just listening to it, it wasn't 100% accurate, but I was able to figure out what the characters were saying and what the situation was like through the video.
--- p.33

The key word for the first topic of the first week is ‘final goal.’
First, let's check what the ultimate goal of my child's English is.
It is not a practical exercise such as focused listening or listening in a relaxed manner.
This is a story about what kind of mindset I had when choosing this path and how I approached it.

“What is the ultimate goal of the money, time, and effort that children are investing now and will continue to invest in learning English?”
--- p.39

First, let's look at the intensive listening for first-year elementary school students.
It was the first step in intensive listening, but it was more important than any other time.
Because, literally, 'well begun is half done'.
It is time to establish this as a habit for your child.
It is a scary year where success and failure can be predicted in advance.
Picture books and leader books are usually used during this period.
But we used a multimedia fairy tale site.
It's a moving storybook.
I looked at the picture and listened to the original sound while pointing out each word in the text below.
To protect the screen, I used an art brush as a pointer.
The child was carrying it, but it was mostly the mother who was carrying it.
For my mother, who had to hold back the urge to ask and check every now and then whether I was following along properly during the nearly hour of intensive listening, and who had to just stay by my side without saying a word, the pointer brush gave me a strange sense of stability.
Even though my child was following along well with his eyes, I decided to give him a pointer instead of just sitting there blankly.
--- p.80

There was the inconvenience of having to give up the entire screen to cover the bottom where the Korean subtitles were displayed with a pastel-colored drawing paper, but it became bearable once I got used to it.
After I got used to it to some extent, just like any other home, whenever my child was lazing around at home, the native language channel was always on.
However, it has now been discovered that this kind of natural sound exposure can be effective even when it is literally just background sound.
The child became accustomed to TV by playing with blocks, drawing, and playing with miniature cars, and when familiar content came on, he would often run to the TV to watch his favorite scenes and go back to his work.

--- p.124

Fifth grader Bandi used the Word program to write his English diary.
This takes into account the tendency of children to dislike writing by hand.
After a few months, the bonus effect was that my English typing skills were as good as my Korean typing skills.
Since thoughts should be written directly, I didn't have to be greedy about putting effort into writing.
These are children who use the keyboard faster than handwriting to express their thoughts.
There's no need to feel sorry that it's not handwritten.
My mother, who used a domestic word processing program and had never written in English, later found out that the word processing program she used automatically checked spelling.
A red line appeared around the spelling error and the error was corrected to a predictable word.
Bandi said that since he had no experience memorizing the spelling of words until then, he made a lot of mistakes in the beginning.
--- p.141

During winter break in sixth grade, Bandi was looking for something to read alongside his original books, and he began revisiting the youth newspaper articles on EBS English. The EBS English website updated select articles from the children's and youth English newspapers every one to two weeks, and they were available for free.
At that time, youth newspapers had two or three questions attached to the bottom of the article.
There were questions that required more thought than short answers.
We had a time to share our thoughts with Bandi in Korean about that question.
I started to get greedy, wondering how great it would be if I could have these conversations in English and get my thoughts out there.
It was a good activity debate to do at that time.

Publisher's Review
“Even if your child has zero exposure to English before entering school,
Even though my mom can't speak English
“You can do it!”

8 years of know-how condensed into 7 weeks

Nuribodem Elementary School Mom's English Course!

The 'Nuribodeum Mom's English 7-Week Consecutive Lecture' was created in response to the earnest requests of blog readers who said, "I really want to meet Nuribodeum in person and learn her know-how!"
This project, which first started in Daejeon in 2017, garnered much more attention than expected.
As soon as the first lecture ended, rave reviews of the Nuribodem lectures began pouring in on blogs, social media, and mom cafes, and its fame quickly spread through word of mouth among mothers.
Mothers from all over the country, including Gangnam District 8 and Mokdong in Seoul, flocked to Daejeon to attend the lecture, and it continues to be a huge hit, with all seats sold out in two minutes.
What is even more surprising is that this is not limited to lecture reviews, but is followed by vivid testimonies from mothers and children who have actually experienced the effects of Nuribodemsik Mom's English.

“I feel completely liberated from the burden of English, which every parent in Korea carries!”
"If I hadn't met Nuribodeum, what would have happened to me now? My child and I have both gained confidence."
“I got stronger output than at English kindergartens and academies.
“My child, who didn’t even know the alphabet, was able to read English books in just 18 months.”

Why does Nuribodem's 7-Week Mom's English Course continue to be so popular? It's because the author, drawing on her own experience in helping her son, Bandi, who had no English exposure until age 7, enroll in a foreign university at age 16, distills the essence of the most practical elementary school English moms can offer.
Animations, movies, and famous original books with great output effects are carefully selected by level and age to serve as a reliable guide.
Thanks to this, readers can gain confidence that 'it's enough to start learning English from elementary school!' and maintain their mother's English without wavering.
In just 7 weeks, if you follow the Nuribodem English Exposure Method, your child will be able to liberate himself from English without private tutoring.

“I am a mother who has never read a single English book to my child.
