Collins Cobuild Grammar Dictionary
Description
Book Introduction
This is a Korean edition that reflects the latest revisions of 『Collins Cobuild English Usage』.
Based on the Collins Corpus, which contains 4.5 billion words, we were able to update and revise it to more accurately reflect how real people use English today.
'Usage' covers the core details of the language.
This includes grammar, meaning, idiomatic expressions, and purpose.
That is, it looks at how words are arranged to convey a specific meaning or play a specific role.
Most of the explanations in this book are not mere generalizations, as they deal with grammar that cannot be explained by general rules alone.
The most important grammatical elements in English are also integrated into the text's grammar explanations.
Additionally, it is structured so that readers can easily move between different topics through extensive cross-references.
So, from the perspective of a Korean learner, this book will help you understand more clearly how English is actually used.
