Description
Book Introduction

How to follow the path of the mind『About Naju』, a new work by novelist Kim Hwa-jin.
It lovingly depicts the process of four characters standing in the midst of their youth exploring each other and understanding themselves and others.
Some hearts, more difficult to imagine than extinct dinosaurs, are hidden like traces in the story.
A novel that has the taste of digging them up.

“I lost a friend.
I was overconfident that I wouldn't lose that friend.
“A friend you can’t lose, there’s no such thing anywhere.” Five stories that quietly observe the path of the mind’s movement, Kim Hwa-jin’s novel 『The Dinosaur’s Migration Path』 has been published.
Is there ever a moment when the heart feels more alien than when we are separated from someone? A living, moving heart that is mine yet never truly becomes mine.
With 'Dinosaur', I hope you can fully enjoy this beautiful swimming of the mind!

Into the book
Lovely.
I thought like a child who received a doll as a gift and held it tightly in his arms.
I felt the fins of love slicing the water from side to side very close to the edge of my body.
---From "The God of Love"
I whisper, "I'm sorry," so that Hyunwoo's heart melts and he loves me again.
There is a strange structure in love where the one who asks for forgiveness becomes omnipotent.
Yes, I am God only in this kind of love.
---From "The God of Love"
I was overconfident that I wouldn't lose that friend.
There is no such thing as a friend you can never lose.
Friends always leave me, and to some people I am just a friend who has left them.
---From "To My Little Friend"
My life isn't about sliding down or being pushed back.
It's like a wave, the bottom covering the top and the back pushing the front, it keeps coming.
It's constant pain and comfort.
Feeling it all is the only thing I can do.
---From "To My Little Friend"
I'm going, and you'll stay here.
I don't know who's going though.
You're leaving and I'm the one left behind.
But that didn't mean anything, I just had a clear premonition that we would not be together for a moment.
I've always known that feeling.
I knew the moment that feeling came over me.
---From "I'm Here"
That summer, life was that good for me.
I'm glad I'm still young.
I felt like summer.
Hot and humid.
You can laugh out loud or cry out loud whenever and wherever you fall into the water.
---From "I'm Here"
Why is the desire to comfort that person so close to the desire to touch that person's weakness?
I felt so vile that I was empty.
---From "Imugi's Lover"
There are people who you want to keep far away and see for a long time, right? If you do that, one day, what you thought was far away will turn out to be close. Jiwon, if more time passes for us, there will be a lot more things we don't know about...

Five Stories That Quietly Examine the Path of the Heart
Kim Hwa-jin's novel, "The Dinosaur's Migration Path," has been published by Swimming Honey, which publishes stories at the pace of life, one book per year.
Through his first collection of short stories, "About Naju," he clearly revealed his side as a tireless explorer of the mind. He evoked a positive response from readers with his spontaneous heart toward people and his tenacity that did not shy away from even the most awkward and twisted appearances.
"The Path of the Dinosaur" is a series of novels that deals with various relationships, especially 'friendships', and contains five stories that quietly observe the movements of the heart.
A familiar yet difficult friendship that becomes close without knowing why and then becomes distant in an instant.
Is there ever a moment when the heart feels more alien than when we are separated from someone? A living, moving heart that is mine yet never truly becomes mine.
May you enjoy this beautiful swimming of the heart with 'Dinosaur'!
“People are like pockets.
“I wonder what’s inside.”
Everything about wanting to look inside and take it out again and show it off
The novel's main characters are four friends - Joo-hee, Sol-ah, Ji-won, and Hyeon-woo - who happened to sit around a table on a hot spring night in May that felt like a tropical night.
Those who have not yet become something form a 'before-becoming group' where they each figure out the necessary efforts to become something.
Within this group, they become particularly close to someone.
I feel like I want to look into it and take it out to show it to you.
"God of Love" is the story of Joo-hee, who is literally the 'god of love'.
Because of this, I've heard compliments like "you're sweet" and criticisms like "you're a jerk," but no matter what anyone says, I have no intention of ignoring my unending love.
As planned, Joo-hee starts dating Hyun-woo, but the ones she really loves are her two older sisters, Sol-ah and Ji-won.
He wants to blend in and mingle with the two.
"To My Little Friend" is the story of Sol-ah, who loves her friend but is sad about their separation.
The expression that Sol-ah hates the most is the idiom 'open the door of your heart'.
Because I always approached the other person first and knocked.
Yet, he stands again in front of the closed door of support.
One day, his worries begin when the dinosaur tattoo 'Pimang' that Jiwon had given him disappears.
"I'm Here" is the story of Jiwon, who gets a tattoo with simple lines, despite her complicated feelings.
Jiwon knows Sol-ah's feelings towards him.
But he chooses to say things that will obviously hurt Sol-ah when the tattoo he gave her disappears.
Why do we hold it in our hands even though we know it's sharp?
"Imugi Lover" is the story of Hyunwoo, who is good at being teased.
Hyunwoo, who had lived without any particular desires until now, develops a clear desire for the first time.
I want to become a 'bead' that Joohee cherishes and looks at.
However, he knows that he is only romantically involved with her, and that the people Joo-hee is actually involved with are Ji-won and Sol-ah.
Still, he can't give up the thought of wanting to become a bead.
"The Path of the Dinosaur" is the story of Pimang, who is a dinosaur, a tattoo, light, and heart.
The bell pepper leaves Sol-ah's wrist and moves inside his eyelid, then moves away from there and towards the sun catcher hanging on the window of his room, and so on.
From his first birth, as the seasons changed and the years changed, the place he reached was… …
“Feeling it all is the only thing I can do.”
Don't become rigid, but move forward vividly toward life.
When we look into the path of the mind that Kim Hwa-jin depicts, we do not only find ourselves in soft and bright places.
There will undoubtedly be a moment when you bump into something, feel pain, and cringe.
Of course, even up to the moment when he starts to stab and kick at will.
So, not only do you get hurt, you also have to experience the hurtful feelings.
So, Kim Hwa-jin stands with people who “want to live feeling the walls, ceiling, and floor wherever they stand.”
People who care for and love someone, but know how purely stupid it is to say, “I will never hurt you,” and when asked what memories they would like to erase, they say, “You can’t edit life.
You have to watch silently.
I am on the side of those who answer, “That’s why I am sick now.”
How often does it happen that we freeze our hearts, not wanting to get sick, and we stop there, hesitating to go any further.
Don't become rigid, but move forward vividly towards life.
That may be the only direction the path of the mind in the novel guides us.
I was overconfident that I wouldn't lose that friend.
“A friend you can never lose, there is no such thing anywhere.”
