Poet Na Tae-ju, a light-hearted poem that cheers us on in a turbulent world.

I want to be a star that shines for a long time.

We have overcome exhausting and difficult times, battling the unprecedented and invisible phenomenon known as COVID-19.
Also, the worst economic downturn has left people feeling anxious and depressed, losing their direction and wavering.
In the time I endured like that, a new day dawned without fail.
My situation remains the same, but the world is turning around so well, unfortunately.
There is a collection of poems that “beckon that I have hope, that I have tomorrow, that I have love.”
This is the poetry collection 『Stars Beyond the Starlight』 by Na Tae-ju, the most beloved poet among Koreans.
This anthology contains 365 love poems that contain narratives of encounters, companionship, partings, and reunions that were repeated like shackles throughout the poet's life, conveying courage and hope to those living in these turbulent times.


“The real stars are beyond the starlight.
We are in an unknown space beyond our ability and time.
However, this does not mean that there are no stars at all.
There are always stars beyond the starlight.
Even if there is, it clearly exists.
Don't doubt it.
Our love is like that, and so is our life.
Let us think that the love and life that come before us also have a hidden face beyond their expressions.

The last part, 'Meeting Again on a Rainy Day', expressed the various aspects of reunion.
This could be the confession of an old poet, or anguish toward the world, or praise toward nature.
