Publisher's Review
The reason why the land is called Mezina is
The name of the only flower that blooms in that place with a harsh climate
Because it's a magic bullet.

Grom, the nation of the Romi who achieved remarkable civilization development.
However, it was invaded by the conquering nation of Akyun with a powerful army and was destroyed in just three days.
The one who led the army of Aquin was Prince Quilla, who was only fifteen years old.
Romi Cheza, the sole survivor of the violent Quilla, decides to help Quilla, who is fighting for the throne with his half-brother, in order to escape to Mezina with his remaining compatriots…

'Mejina' is the name of the place where Cheza's compatriots fled in the play, and also the name of the flower that blooms there.
The only flower that blooms in that land with a harsh climate is the mezina, which is the symbol of Rome itself, and no one in Rome would pick its flower.
It could also be said that Cheza, who constantly looks for opportunities to escape to Mezina, gives Quila three chances according to Romy's beliefs.

The main setting of 『Mezina』 is the royal palace of the conquering nation of Akun, and the main characters are Cheza, the only Roma there, Akun's royal family members Quilla, Luxan, Bela, and the priestess Hikklima.
The first half is a palace drama in which Cheza, who has become a vassal of Quilla, confronts Lukshan and Hitclima to help Quilla succeed to the throne.
But soon the flow of the play shifts to the past stories told by Luxan and Hitclima.
The story centers around Bella, who was the queen of Akun and mother of Quilla, during Luxan's childhood.

Set in a fictional ancient country
A breathtaking battle of wits between the Avengers
The Möbius strip of love and revenge that binds them

The development that crosses between the past and present is partly a result of Luxan and Hiklima's plot to overthrow the emperor, but it is also a device that effectively shows the characteristic of "Mejina," in which all the characters are entangled in love and revenge.
Each character becomes an avenger who harbors hatred after losing love.
The current avenger is the 'flower of evil' that bloomed from the previous avenger, and they are connected to each other like a Möbius strip.
In that relationship, their revenge has causality.
They each have their own justifiable reasons for seeking revenge, and for that reason, no one is portrayed as an absolute villain except for Quanter.
Unable to escape from hatred, they inevitably throw themselves into revenge.
Through the story that moves between the present and the past, readers finally understand the complex circumstances and inner selves of these characters and become immersed in their revenge.

From the contrasting nationalities of the 'Romi who believe in human reason' and the 'religious and warlike Acurians' to religion, politics, economy, culture, and even the natural environment, the author provides a wide range of descriptions of Grom and Aqun, arousing imagination and interest as if the two nations had actually existed in history.
According to what was revealed in the "Postscript to the Series", "Mejina" is one of several stories that share this worldview.
With a well-crafted setting, it has gained a sense of liveliness and plausibility, along with arousing interest.
Besides this, 『Mejina』 has many interesting points.
The fierce battle of wits between characters like Cheza and Hitclima, Bella and Hitche provides the thrill and intellectual pleasure of watching a mystery novel, and the rhetorical expressions such as poison and medicine, the two sides of a coin, shields and blades that appear throughout the work, as well as questions about human nature, leave a lingering impression that does not easily go away even after reading.

The name of the long-awaited story, 『Mejina』, has finally been completed!
Includes author's note and side story "The Prisoners of Hitclima"

Gold Kiwi Bird, the author who won the 2015 Today's Cartoon Award for "I'm Okay Even If I Die," has consistently produced works including his debut work "Mejina," "Our New Baby," "Mango's Bone," "I'm Okay Even If I Die," and the currently serialized "Pure Hippocrates."
With each work he publishes, he boasts unique subject matter, excellent storytelling skills that leave no room for boredom, and a unique sense of humor, and is called a "trustworthy writer" among readers who possesses both fun and artistic quality.
Among the works of the author Gold Kiwi, 『Mejina』 was a masterpiece that readers considered a masterpiece, but it was also like a sore thumb.

It began serialization in 2011 on Daum Comics World, but unfortunately had its serialization discontinued midway through.
Afterwards, it moved to Lezhin Comics and resumed serialization with the support of readers, and ended with 'Season 5' in 2014.
At the time, the fact that a contract had been signed to publish 『Mejina』 was revealed through a review, raising readers' expectations, but soon after, the unfortunate news of the publication being canceled was delivered.
『Mejina』, which was called a masterpiece that left readers with even more regrets because it went through so many twists and turns.
The publication of this volume will completely wash away that regret.

The single volume edition of 『Mejina』 was reorganized into 5 volumes and 27 chapters, with a total of 87 episodes.
The book has been edited and revised to enhance readability and collection value, and a manuscript for the book has also been prepared.
A review from the time of its completion in 2014, which many readers had hoped to see again, as well as a publication review containing behind-the-scenes stories of this volume are included at the end of Volume 5.
Two side stories were also included, completed in response to reader requests during a pre-publication SNS event.
The most requested ones are the short side stories featuring modern AUs of Cheza-Quilla and Luxan-Bella, and the short story "The Prisoners of Hittclima" depicting an older Hittclima.
You can also enjoy celebrations by fellow artists such as Neonbi, Maru, Michi, Minhong, and Jeong Yeong-rong.
The portraits of the main characters that decorate the cover are new illustrations drawn for this publication.

To celebrate this publication, Munhakdongne has prepared a limited number of free gifts.
A limited number of 'illustrated postcards' with the cover illustration are included with each volume, and are printed with the author's autograph.
When purchasing a set of 5 volumes, a specially made 'set book case' with gold and silver foil will be given as a gift on a first-come, first-served basis.
A commemorative coin modeled after the only coin of Aquina, 'Pindula', was also produced.
I hope this will be a welcome gift to readers who have been waiting for 『Mejina』 for a long time.
