◆ The start of a new season with new characters

The seventh story of "Manbok's Rice Cake Shop," which has set a new record for domestic original fairy tale series by surpassing 1 million copies in cumulative sales (for the entire series) in the first half of 2022, "Lang Lang Brothers Rice Cake Shop," has been published by Biryongso.

This new 7th volume, “The Lang Lang Brothers’ Rice Cake Shop,” is a story that once again opens the “Manbok’s Rice Cake Shop” series with energy.
Samshin Halmoni, who was watching Kkorangji struggle to make the wish rice cake by herself, sends a special hand to help Kkorangji.
The one who knocks on the rice cake shop door in the middle of the night with a letter from Samshin Halmoni is none other than Wangguri, a frog who has just woken up from hibernation! Wangguri's appearance as a reliable sidekick to Kkorangji adds an exciting element of adventure to the rice cake shop story.
The Lang Lang brothers, who are identical twins but have very different personalities, face misunderstandings and conflicts, and an extraordinary 'wish rice cake' that will resolve them and lead to unsettling events.

◆ Tell me the secret to helping the Lang Lang brothers, twins who are so different!
When you eat injeolmi, you acknowledge each other
They say that eating songpyeon makes you speak honestly?

The Lang Lang brothers are twins born one minute apart.
They may look the same, but their personalities are polar opposites! The older brother, Woorang, is fearless and keeps causing all sorts of trouble at school, while the younger sister, Arang, is so timid that she overthinks even the smallest things and worries about them.
With such different personalities, it's perhaps natural that they don't understand each other.
The Lang Lang brothers, who are in the same class at school but have accumulated misunderstandings and conflicts, decide not to even know each other.
Korangji, who was watching the scene, opens the 'secret book' on making rice cakes.
But this time, they have to make two pieces of rice cake each, and it is not easy for two brothers who do not get along to visit the rice cake shop together.
Moreover, the secret recipe book contains a warning: “If the owner of the wishing rice cake is not found by 12 o’clock, it will disappear like smoke.”
Will the Lang Lang brothers be able to reconcile, as their mother hoped, after eating the rice cakes Kkorangji painstakingly made? The sympathetic story of twin brothers' struggles and conflicts intertwines with uncontrollable events, creating a thrilling tension.

◆ In the middle of the night, someone knocked on the door of the rice cake shop!
“Is this the rice cake shop run by Brother Kkorangji?”
“I came here because I needed help.”

Knock, knock, knock, someone knocks on the door in the middle of the night, and Korra carefully opens the door.
In front of the door stands a frog covered in mud, holding a yellowed leaf.
'Wangguri' reads a letter from Samshin Halmoni asking her to help Kkorangji, who runs a rice cake shop, and comes to the rice cake shop.
Although the tail is a little suspicious, he decides to believe the affection he feels from the sticky, squeaky hands.
However, since Wangguri has only just woken up from hibernation, he often nods off and his memory is not very good.
Arang and Urang, who always make rice cakes for their brothers, but never visit the rice cake shop…
Finally, Wangguri shakes off his sleepiness and sets out to deliver rice cakes for his brothers.
The introduction of a new character who sets out to help Kkorangji adds another layer of fun to the story and makes us look forward to what's to come.
Artist Kim Yi-rang's drawings, which capture the character of Wangguri in detail in each scene, add humor and vitality to the rich taste of the text as you read it.
