Publisher's Review
An imaginative journey where sparkling ideas and delightful narratives meet.

The imaginative world of Tatsuya Tanaka, who breathes life into familiar objects through a new perspective, has returned, expanding even further.
Breaking away from the limited locations of the previous work, such as shops, saunas, and beauty salons, this time the protagonist Sushi goes on a journey to forests, beaches, snowy countries, and deserts.
But take a good look at where the sushi goes.
It's a landscape that seems familiar to us, but somehow different.
A lush vegetable forest with lush broccoli trees and towering lettuce mountains, a brown fried beach with a crunchy texture just by looking at it, a snowy land covered in sweet whipped cream and ice cream, and a mystical desert with pyramids of cookies standing on endless sugar sand.
The miniature world created by ordinary everyday objects meeting a new perspective that overturns your thoughts is so captivating that you'll want to jump into the book right away and join the sushi party.
The sushi journey is even more exciting when set against the backdrop of places overflowing with things to see in every nook and cranny.
Every scene where Sushi meets new friends and goes on various challenges and adventures is filled with the author's signature wit.

The fun of finding other hidden characters in every corner

Just like its predecessor, "Sushi Went on a Trip" is full of hidden fun that you can't notice unless you look closely.
The story of the grandfather and the dog that unfolded in the previous work continues this time as well.
The newly introduced puppy also follows the rice grains dropped by the sushi as if possessed, and enjoys the various travel destinations in its own way.
The fun of finding the puppy hidden in each scene is another gift the author has hidden for the readers.

Take a closer look at the various characters Sushi meets on his travels.
A sausage couple enjoying a fried beach, an ice cream man making a snowman, a strawberry family riding the lift… … .
The welcome supporting characters from the previous work are also enjoying the expanded and more colorful miniature world.
All the characters in the scene show off their own unique cheerfulness, blending in with the background recreated with the author's ingenious ideas.
Although the overall story revolves around sushi, in fact, every character in the book is a protagonist who makes the miniature world richer and more interesting.
