Where art meets science
A science book you've never seen before

This book has a unique and interesting concept reminiscent of Where's Wally?
The first thing that catches your eye are the 13 large paintings depicting vibrant, vibrant scenes.
These drawings by renowned artist and winner of the Judd Drawing Award, Adam Dant, vividly depict our daily lives and the world around us, as if pressing the pause button for a moment.
For example, in the six pictures of the square, someone is floating in the air holding an umbrella in a comical pose ('Newton's Law of Gravitation') and another is struck in the face by a flying champagne cork and falls backward ('Henry's Law').
They cover their ears to the sound of an ambulance siren receding (the Doppler effect), or they lift a car with great effort using a long lever (Archimedes' principle of the lever).
Dogs are seen huddled together near a person eating a hamburger ('diffusion'), and paper airplanes are seen flying around the square ('Bernoulli's principle').

As you gaze at every nook and cranny of the colorful paintings and appreciate the fascinating, interesting, and humorous scenes captured therein, you will become curious about what laws and phenomena are hidden within them, and you will even attempt to scientifically explain these scenes in your own way.
As you spend time imagining science in a pleasant way, enjoying the fun of taking things apart one by one, you will begin to look at the familiar everyday life around you with a different perspective.

Science is the essence of how everything in the world works.
Find all the laws and phenomena of the world!

This book introduces key terms in physics, chemistry, life science, and earth science covered in middle and high school curricula, as well as major laws and phenomena in almost all fields of science, including geology, meteorology, and ecology.
The author says that the laws and phenomena covered in this book are “a selection of those representative of the scientific landscape at the time of publication.”
KAIST Science Gifted Education Research Institute Director Jeong Hyeon-cheol said, “Science begins with curiosity about nature.
He recommended this book, saying, “Reading this book will not only help you gain basic scientific understanding, but will also foster your curiosity and develop your creative abilities.”
As an appendix, I've included brief biographies of 13 major scientists, from William Thomson to Lynn Margulis, Marie Curie, and Albert Einstein, who are hidden somewhere in the illustrations in the text, waiting for the reader to discover them.
