Into the book
“I bought it but never got around to reading it.” “It’s so thick, I can’t even think about reading it.” “I don’t know where to start.” These are the things we often hear from people around us when it comes to the topic of “reading books.” These are the things we often say.
But these complaints have something in common.
It's a shame that I want to read it, and I need to read it, but I haven't been able to do it yet.
For some reason, we always feel a sense of obligation to read.
〈Bookstore Today: Reading Books for You〉 started with this idea.
--- From the "Prologue"

I had that thought after finishing the broadcast.
What if we created a book that could help those who, for various reasons, struggle to reach "real reading"? Four authors pondered over how to easily convey essential reading from various fields, including classics, self-improvement, humanities, and science.
If possible, I chose million-selling books that weren't featured on TV, books that are difficult to read alone, and books that are meaningful in this day and age. Above all, I focused on making sure that the books were "readable without stopping."

Publisher's Review
Make difficult books easy, and thick books light!
An effective guide containing the essence of 12 best-selling books.

The reading program “Today’s Bookstore: Reading Books for You” has succeeded in introducing readers to must-read books, so-called “brick books,” through the format of “book reading.”
The audience's reaction led to a craze that shook the book sales rankings.
The production team, having witnessed the phenomenon of fun and excitement leading to renewed interest in books, became convinced that more people could become 'readers.'
"Bookkit List" is the result of a thorough consideration of how to easily convey must-read books in various fields, including self-development, humanities, and science.
If possible, we selected 12 books based on the criteria of million-sellers that were not introduced on TV, books that are difficult to read alone, and books that are meaningful in this day and age.
This is the optimal reading list for 'us these days' who want to become cultured people who go beyond mere mere nepotism.
