I decided to live today like a trip
Description
Book Introduction
“This scene was the beginning of the journey.”
The most charming European journey with stunning scenery
The first essay by 'Siniple', with 150,000 followers on Instagram
Scenes he encountered throughout Europe, recording his gaze.
This is the first essay by photographer Jaeshin Park, who captures the beautiful colors of the world through photographs under the name 'Siniple'.
This book contains his travel records from Europe, where he would pick up a camera and go out to take pictures whenever he felt inspired.
The scenes I discovered all over Europe sometimes gave me courage, and sometimes excitement.
Even a cat wandering the street or a beach filled with parasols becomes a wonderful story when it passes through his eyes.
As we look at his gaze, which contains the flow of time, we too find the courage to go somewhere.
Looking back, he says that the trip had no purpose and that “travel is not something grand.”
They say that just having the mindset to leave is enough to start a journey.
He has the flexibility to deal with the moments he encounters on the road and the generosity to embrace diverse people.
I learned all that from traveling.
"I decided to live today like a trip" is a collection of his meticulously collected perspectives on living like a trip this year as well.
I hope that this book will help you feel the warmth of the gaze filled with shining European scenes.

Into the book
Perhaps it was because I ran too hard in the heat of my freshman year? Unaware of my limitations, I felt my heart become quite weary without even realizing it.
On one hand, I also had a longing for the long-term trip I couldn't go on at the time.
So, I decided to quit my job and went on my first trip to Europe.
Everything was unfamiliar and new.
And it made me excited.
Was it a welcome gift?
Starting with that trip, I went on many trips, big and small, and traveled to Europe every year.
--- p.5 From “Introduction”
All the trips I took had no purpose.
As someone who values extreme efficiency, the only thing I am generous about is traveling.
Traveling isn't something grand, nor is it a goal that requires you to achieve something.
The journey begins at the same time as the departure.
Developing strengths of mind, such as the flexibility to deal with urgent moments encountered on the road and the generosity to embrace diverse people and cultures.
It is a truly valuable experience and important training that you gain from traveling.
So we have to go on a trip.
--- p.8 From “Introduction”
The sandy beach was lined with parasols that looked like they had been dipped in sea-blue paint, and the beach was full of people cooling off.
I wanted to see this sight again, so I came all the way to the southern tip of Italy.
The pastel-colored buildings on the steep cliffs right next to the refreshing beach were exotic.
The people who live there must see this view every day. I briefly imagined myself choosing the prettiest, largest house and stepping out onto the terrace in the afternoon with a glass of wine in hand.
As I listened to the laughter coming from the salty wind, my heart seemed to be dyed in pastel tones.
--- p.40 From "Positano"
There are many ways to revisit a destination you've already visited many times.
One of them is observing people.
The beautiful scenery of famous places is great, but there is also energy that comes from people's stories.
This kind of experience can only be had if you take your time when traveling.
--- p.68 From "Venice Street"
If you accept your feelings without resistance, your feelings will naturally grow like a rolling snowball.
Porto was that kind of place for me.
It wasn't something I visited as often as other places.
During my three trips to Porto, I tried to encounter different perspectives in the same place rather than trying to see many places quickly.
If you set foot in the alleyways of Porto, you can't help but do the same.
It's that attractive.
--- p.138 From "Porto Streets"
The face, already drunk on wine, flushed even more in the sunset, and the burst of applause felt like fireworks.
It felt like a compliment to each other for working hard every day, so we did our best and clapped even harder.
It was a special day when I looked at the red marks left on my palms like the sun going down from the roof and exclaimed, “I really worked hard today!”
--- p.152 From “Moru Garden (Mohu Garden)”
Now that I'm used to traveling, the anxiety that comes with unexpected situations has faded.
The mistakes and fears of my first trip a long time ago have faded, but anything at first was definitely awkward and full of mistakes.
In a world of pure wandering and a little fear, where I didn't know what tomorrow would bring, I became more honest and open.
On one hand, I also had a longing for the long-term trip I couldn't go on at the time.

Publisher's Review
From Southern Europe to Eastern Europe and Western Europe
The radiant everyday life of Europe, filled with the brilliance of the moment
Sometimes we try new things to escape our daily routine.
Sometimes you go somewhere and sometimes you discover a new hobby.
Among them, the most certain way to introduce variables into daily life is definitely travel.
This book is a photo essay that captures new perspectives discovered in everyday life while traveling through Europe.
Even a place you pass by without a second thought becomes a scene in itself when you take a step back and look at it.
The scene soon spreads with beauty and settles into a corner of your heart.
Scenes that accumulate like that become moments and memories.
This book contains such moments.
The author says that even having the courage to exchange a quick greeting with someone you meet for the first time is part of the charm of traveling.
I wanted to discover travel in everyday life, and discover everyday life in travel.
When I look back on that trip that I spent like a daily routine, it still shines brightly.
This book is full of travel-like moments that permeate everyday life.
Every moment and every gaze you encounter on your travels, contained in this book, will brighten your everyday life.
A place I'd like to visit at least once, a person I'd like to meet...
A record of all those gazes, which everyone has at least one of.
I still miss it, and sometimes I think about the vivid moments
“I became a blank observer and recorded people.
“Every subject seemed to move for me.”
Author Jaeshin Park travels to many countries and cities, documenting everyday scenes through photographs.
A city where people sit quietly and watch the passing scenery, people jump into the sea one by one without fear, a landscape of naked nature encountered in the quiet dawn.
The gazes recorded in the photos become longing and the driving force for living today.
Artist Jaeshin Park breathes life into each and every photograph, and their meaning grows with each passing day.
All the places you want to visit again at least once in your life, all the people you want to meet, all the moments you miss.
This small longing that everyone has keeps alive today.
For those moments when longing is clear, we will create the 'courage' to take one step further.
Every journey is made with a new beginning.
Also, a new beginning feels like a journey.
In this book, the author tells us to have courage in everything we want to do.
Reading this book will give you the courage to move forward.
