National Kimbap Tour 2
Description
Book Introduction
600 kimbap restaurants visited, I've tasted 10,000 rolls of kimbap 100 best kimbap restaurants across the country, selected by Korea's only kimbap curator! It's been three years since I started searching for delicious kimbap all over the country, from Seoul to Jeju. Following the publication of "National Kimbap Weekly" in 2023, "National Kimbap Weekly 2" was released in May 2024, based on the enthusiastic response from readers and the author's endless passion for kimbap. It is divided into 7 regions across the country (Seoul, Incheon/Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do/Daejeon/Chungcheong-do, Daegu/Ulsan/Busan/Gyeongsang-do, Jeolla-do, and Jeju-do), and provides basic information, recommended menus, one-liners, and customer reviews for each kimbap restaurant. We included QR codes for each restaurant that link to Naver Maps along with a description of the Kimbap Curator's taste, making it easy for readers to find information. Also, for those who might get lost among the information on 100 kimbap restaurants, we have created the 'Ddogganjip' and 'Kimbap Curating' pages to provide optimal information to kimbap nomads. |

Publisher's Review
For kimbap fans across the country
Kimbap Bible!
Someone who saw his kimbap journey said:
“There are many people who are crazy about kimbap, but none are this crazy.”
The author's kimbap journey began after he quit his job.
He was worried about how he would make a living in the future and wanted to continue working in a food-related field.
Among them, I started this journey because I thought it was worth risking my life for my favorite food, 'Kimbap'.
I traveled all over the country looking for a good kimbap restaurant, and have visited over 600 of them so far.
Every time he discovered a delicious kimbap, he shared it on Instagram (@gimbapzip), and now he has 170,000 followers who call him the 'Kimbap Master.'
This is how the nickname ‘Korea’s only kimbap curator’ was born.
From basic kimbap that looks like something your mom would make at home, to kimbap made with local specialties like mackerel and saury, to the unique takoyaki kimbap that is the ultimate in uniqueness, and even fried kimbap that is deep-fried and eaten as a side dish, kimbap, which is never the same from the ingredients to the cooking method, greets the author with a unique appearance and taste every time.
The author wasn't the only one excited about this.
People reacted enthusiastically to his Instagram posts, saying things like, "I didn't know there was such a kimbap in the world. I'm so happy as a kimbap lover. I'll join the kimbap restaurant stamp campaign."
In this way, “National Kimbap Tour” became the “Bible for Kimbap Fans.”
From the basic business hours and menu to the difficulty of waiting at a kimbap restaurant and the size and ingredients of the kimbap!
Full of detailed information and tips!
How a fan knows the heart of a fan.
For readers who will actually visit a kimbap restaurant with the book in hand, the author has included as much detailed information as possible.
We provide detailed information on operating hours, which change during break times and on weekends, and to prevent endless waiting in front of kimbap restaurants, we have rated the 'waiting difficulty' as easy, medium, and hard.
And for readers who are curious about what kimbap looks like and what goes into it, it is also worth noting that the cross-section of the kimbap was photographed and the ingredients were listed one by one.
In addition, it provides detailed 'one-line tips' on how to enjoy the food the most and when is the most convenient time to visit.
Lastly, we did not miss out on any information or entertainment, including essays on interesting topics such as 'Is Daejeon a city of small talk?' and 'Why is kimbap especially loved in Jeju Island?'
