The second book by Pastor Kim Sung-kyung, who runs anywhere toward a soul that will return.
This is a piece written in memory of Jesus, who bloomed and left, until he became a shadow to be abandoned, when all he got in return was hurt and resentment, despite his efforts to love and keep his faith.
It offers warm comfort to souls struggling in the midst of abandoned time, saying that it is okay to just stand there and seek faith.

Into the book
There are many reasons why there is waiting in prayer that we cannot understand, but one reason I know for sure is that waiting exposes my pride.
That slowness reveals what my idols were.
That delay made me see what I truly loved.
God does not wait for himself.
Actually, you are waiting for me.
Because I love you… Because I am a father who is important to me, not for me to be a ‘fast’ person, but for me to be a ‘right’ person.

--- From "How did I end up here?"

Rather than giving up, delaying, or going back and forth until faith returned, the confession of, “Father, help me with my lack of faith, my weakness of faith, my downfall,” became a “wonderful faith” in the eyes of Jesus.
Don't forget.
“I believe in God so everything is always okay.
Faith is not just saying, “I can overcome everything with joy,” but also saying, “God, I’m not okay.
I really can't stand it anymore.
So, it is also faith that allows us to say, “God, please help me now.”

--- From "How Much More Do I Have to Believe"

If you cannot pray because your heart is hardened, you can pray for the hardened heart.
Sometimes, when everything becomes so tedious, we choose to give up on God, hoping to stop, hide, or disappear into that tunnel of despair. But that's not how we give up.
Don't give up on God, give up on God.

--- From "Boredom"

The real tragedy is that while all my colleagues are breaking before the heart of Jesus, I alone cannot break my own 'righteousness'.
The most frightening thing about us who live as a church is that, because of our own unbreakable righteousness, we live a life where we want to use Jesus, rather than a life where we want to be used by Him.
So when we think about when we can be built into His church, when we don't expect to 'gain' because we believe in Jesus, but rather expect to 'give up' because we believe in Jesus, when we don't expect to 'win' because we love Jesus, but rather expect to 'give up' because we love Jesus, then I think we will become a church that shows the love that Jesus expected.
--- From "This church doesn't suit me anymore"

There are times when my entire career falls apart, times when I'm working hard and running but no one notices me, times when I'm stuck in my room unable to do anything, and times when I wonder why there are so many obstacles and why my body hurts when I try to fulfill my mission.
But I hope you remember.
Without His touching my field, there is no abundance, no power, no fruit.
There are hardships, big and small, but the more we suffer, the deeper we become, and the deeper we become, the more abundantly we will become a farm.
Just as training builds muscles, hardship trains the soul.
Look carefully, life is blooming.

Publisher's Review
For the souls who are desperate and hurt in life
Pastor Kim Sung-kyung's message of comfort

“Right now, that empty time of yours is
“This will be the night when the most beautiful hymns are born.”

Even in moments of life that seem abandoned
A book that guides you to discover God's will and love.

There are times when we try to love, try to win, try to keep the faith, but there are times when we go through times when there is only hurt and despair.
As I go through the abandoned times where everything I've worked for seems to have crumbled, I make a tearful promise to myself that I will never be hurt again or feel wronged.
Then, suddenly, I come face to face with the flower that Jesus planted at the foot of the hill of the cross blooming within me, and as I smell the fragrance of the flower that bloomed and left until it became a shadow that was abandoned, I confess this.
“I will love every moment that is thrown away.”

Pastor Kim Sung-kyung, who comforted a soul struggling in the invisible darkness through “Be at ease, God’s timing is perfect,” now offers comfort to those passing through the abandoned time.
It's okay just the way it is now, just standing there and asking for faith is enough...
This book, which guides us to turn our eyes toward God, who watches over us and is with us in every moment, will be a great strength to those who are going through a time of abandonment.
This book also features 203 special recommenders.
