Hidden Word Restaurant "Comfortable Word Restaurant" offers the "taste" of the Word.
15 Simple and Warm Recipes for a Spiritual Life
Shepherding the Lord's sheep also involves feeding the sheep.
Pastor Jang Il-seok (Paju Design Church), who feeds and cares for the marginalized and vulnerable, African workers, and their children through relief and compassion ministry, opened a "Comfortable Word Restaurant" on YouTube for the weary and exhausted souls.
“Three days have passed and there is nothing to eat,” said the Lord, who took pity on those who were hungry and hungry in spirit. With this in mind, the Lord provided fresh words and prepared a meal with care.
The table of words he prepared has no fancy decorations or strong, sweet, or spicy flavors.
A warm and simple meal that fills your hungry stomach and comforts your aching soul.
The main ingredients are words and prayer, and the recipe is so easy, but it has an unknown flavor within the familiar taste.
It is thanks to the Holy Spirit adding the secret seasoning of ‘grace’ to the taste that comes from direct experience and practice, and the deep flavor that has been deeply ingrained in life.
The bread that the Lord fed to Elijah when he collapsed from exhaustion would not have been spicy enough to make you feel cold, sweet enough to melt in your mouth, or salty enough to make you feel sick.
The author also wants to feed weak souls soft yet light food that will energize them after eating it, and so he earnestly prays that everyone will come to the Word Restaurant, eat comfortably, and rely on the power of that food to gain the strength to endure 40 days and 40 nights.
We've gathered the earnest questions of those who have been through the ups and downs of life and feel lost in both life and faith, and put together 15 recipes that will make life and faith more enjoyable through easy explanations, sincere sharing, and practical application.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is weary and burdened by the burdens of life, loneliness, anxiety, debt, and addiction, and who is at a loss as to how to believe and how to pray.

Into the book
If I've left everything before God, can I just sit back and do nothing? No.
Actually, there are more important things left to do now.
Because even after entrusting it, the worries do not end easily.
After I entrusted it to God, I couldn't see Him, but my problems continued to be visible.
--- p.32
This cannot be an out-of-the-blue statement.
At first I didn't understand, but after practicing my faith, I understood.
When I receive grace without cost, I come to know who I am and confess that I am a sinner.
If I did something wrong and God gave me grace, then I would really think, 'I was such a useless person.
I come to realize that I was a lacking person.
--- p.55
This is where we see a really important lesson.
The truth is, nothing I'm experiencing right now is unnecessary! Even if it's pain and sorrow that I'd rather disappear, I recognize that it too may be necessary. It's crucial to accept each and every one of them with sincerity and live diligently within the circumstances, if possible.
--- p.66
But there is something about the faith of Jairus, the synagogue leader, who heard these words.
Don't be shaken! Keep moving forward without being shaken, endure without being shaken.
This was the faith of Jairus, the synagogue leader.
If faith meant going out with courage to the woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years, then Jairus' faith meant enduring without wavering.
--- p.78
I found out through that series of events.
That in order to receive grace from God, one must not rise.
You must sit down in prayer until God gives you grace.
That is absolutely necessary.
Don't get up and keep praying without holding on to one prayer topic.
And don't put this prayer request down.
--- p.124
As I listened to that story, I was somewhat shocked that the Lord could hear my inner thoughts aloud.
How much effort do we put into discerning the voice of God?
But on the other hand, it seems that God should discern our prayers.
Is this a prayer or a worry?
--- p.136
It was a valuable opportunity for me to realize that I had been under Satan's deception regarding material things, and that I had been misusing or misusing these materials instead of using them as precious tools given by God. This became an opportunity for me to begin to break free from that.
--- p.166
As you become a faithful steward, you will see God's work of moving things.
I can't tell you how touched I am.
And I dare say:
Receiving is something to be grateful for, but giving is also something to be truly happy and meaningful.
Such a life is rewarding and God's work is vividly revealed.
--- p.182
There are people who are good at this.
Of course, there are people who do this because they have material leeway, but there are also people who are less materially affluent than you might think, yet are good at understanding the pain of others.
Looking at this person's life, it is clear that God has provided abundantly.
It's not a huge rejection, but it's a conduit for material things, so his life never runs dry.
--- p.195
'It seems like there is no way to cure this person, and no one comes to see him,' I thought, 'God, there is no one.
I prayed, 'Please, God, work at this time and heal this person,' and in the midst of my prayer, God gave me a moving heart.
'It's not that there is no one.
I am with this son.'

Publisher's Review
Welcome!
Let's share a meal of words together, as if we were dining in a comfortable restaurant.
It's not easy to find a restaurant where you can sit comfortably and have a meal at an affordable price.
As I was thinking about this and that, I started missing an ordinary restaurant I stopped by on the street a long time ago.
Suddenly, I thought that it was similar to the feeling I had on YouTube.
Perhaps this is how people searching for words online feel? A place where you can comfortably drop in and listen without any pressure.
I still don't really know why people watch the "Comfortable Word Restaurant" videos.
But I definitely think that God is using the video.
It is not because it is well-made, but because God speaks of His love and grace through people who are lacking.
I sincerely hope that this book will be written in that way.
I hope readers only see the 'God' in the book.
God will surely let you know why He brought you into contact with this book.
He loves you and will give you the strength and grace to stand up again.
This book is for the brokenhearted, the captive, and the imprisoned.
