As an outstanding surgeon, he had been offered a professorship at a prestigious university hospital. But in 2013, he left everything and went to Ethiopia, Africa, the land God had called him to, with his wife and three sons, all under the age of ten.
Before beginning his ministry as a compassionate medical missionary, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a fatal disease for a surgeon. However, through the Lord's paradoxical providence of grace, he was molded into a more perfect and pure witness of Christ and minister of the gospel.
