There was always a wounded person waiting for him in his heart.
The one person who drove him, a father of three children and head of household, into the wilderness called 'alone', even though he had no name or face.
I wrote for him, and sometimes met him and listened to his long, seemingly never-ending stories.
One day, after spending so many years like that, he found himself standing alone in the still cold, windy wilderness, resenting his choice.
And when he cried out to the Lord, saying, 'I can't stand it any longer,' the Lord touched his heart and said, 'You have struggled to get here.'
That's when he realized.
He said he would save 'one soul' as a mission, but he forgot that that soul might actually be himself.
So, declaring, “I will no longer write for others,” I began telling my story to the Lord every morning and writing down the encouragement, support, and comfort He gave me.
When I posted the article on social media with the title, “Jesus’ Healing Letter,” many people sympathized and shared their experiences of healing.
The 100 most popular pieces of writing were compiled into a book.

All this time I've been writing for other people, not for myself.
I said I was writing for a wounded person, but I wasn't part of that wounded person's concept.
