Description
Book Introduction
The transcription is
The practice of becoming one with the Heart Sutra and finding myself

Handwriting refers to the act of copying a book by hand.
It is another practice of focusing on the here and now, writing down each sentence while savoring it.
In other words, it is called a copy of the sutra.

Sajyong refers to the transcription of Buddhist scriptures, or books written in this way.
After the Buddha's death, the Buddhist scriptures that his disciples gathered together were first passed down orally and then written down. The transcription of the scriptures began after the scriptures were written down.
Initially, it began with the purpose of learning, widely disseminating, or preserving the contents of the scriptures, but later it changed into a prayer that emphasized their merits.
Because the act of praying for one's life cannot be done without faith and perseverance.

This notebook, created at the request of readers who have read 『Dharma Master Beopryun's Heart Sutra Lectures』, selects the key contents from 『Heart Sutra Lectures』 and organizes them so that they can be used for 100 days.
If you concentrate on writing one piece a day, you will come to understand the principles of the Heart Sutra and discover a new world.
And your own Heart Sutra is created.

Into the book
What can free us from this suffering and bondage? It is enlightenment.
It's like when you're wandering around in a dark room looking for something and then you turn on the light and everything in the room becomes visible at a glance.

You must calm your mind so that you can become a person with a stable and peaceful mind.
To do that, you need to refine your selection.
And, we must escape from the foolishness of the mind and attain bright wisdom.
When wisdom is enlightened, you can avoid falling into foolishness and escape suffering.
The goal of practice is to attain nirvana and liberation through the three studies of the three principles of accountancy and wisdom.

The reason we study the Heart Sutra is to attain enlightenment through the Buddha's teachings.
First and foremost, you must have faith in the Buddha's teachings, understand them correctly, and put them into practice.
Through this belief, understanding, and practice, I must attain enlightenment myself.
No matter how much I believe, how much I understand, and how much I practice, if I ultimately do not experience it, it will not become my treasure.

If we look at our lives with a small eye, there are all kinds of problems, but if we look at it with a big eye, there are no problems at all.
So, just by knowing ‘Maha’, you can eliminate all your afflictions.

It is not true that you have to analyze your afflictions, bow down, and repent to practice.
If you look at the world from a distance with big eyes, there is nothing else to practice.
Why would that be? Because there was no problem in the first place.
It's like talking in your sleep after taking a good nap for no reason.
When you wake up, there is nothing wrong with you in the first place.
Of course, I was the only one who caused all kinds of trouble and made a fuss as if something big had happened.

It's not easy to accept that the world I experience now, the image of the other person I've been observing so intently for decades, is an illusion.
If you ask anyone on the street, they will all say, "I am right and the other person is wrong."
But it is precisely at such times that I must look back and ask myself if what I know is really true.
The moment I realized that what I was so sure of was an illusion, my life changed completely.

Publisher's Review
A lecture on the Heart Sutra by Venerable Pomnyun,
A masterpiece that explains the core ideas of Buddhism in a way that is accessible to the general public.

Published in June 2022, Venerable Pomnyun's Lectures on the Heart Sutra systematically and scientifically explains profound Buddhist thought in a way that makes it easier and clearer for even those with no prior knowledge of Buddhism to understand.
2600 years ago, Buddha taught that the cause of suffering lies in the 'mind' and suggested a way to resolve that suffering.

The Heart Sutra is a sutra that encapsulates the idea of 'emptiness', which is the core of Mahayana Buddhism.
The sutras are the words of the Buddha, and the words of the Buddha are the teachings of the 'enlightened' to lead the 'unenlightened' to enlightenment.
Venerable Pomnyun, who has become familiar to the public through several best-selling books and impromptu lectures, vividly explained the Heart Sutra, which was difficult to understand due to its format and condensed Buddhist thoughts and concepts, in language that is accessible to the general public.
『Dharma Master Beopryun's Lectures on the Heart Sutra』 is a masterpiece written by Dharma Master Beopryun with great care to make the teachings of Buddha from 2,600 years ago a compass for us living in this age.

How to Be Free from Suffering, the Heart Sutra

The COVID-19 pandemic has taught us firsthand that the world is now interconnected, and that individual change can spark a butterfly effect of social change.
If I can change just one thing in my heart and become happy, I can change the whole world.
『Dharma Master Beopryun's lectures on the Heart Sutra』 contain principles of mindfulness and healing for those who are suffering from difficult life.

The monk Beopryun says that happiness is not suffering.
If I become aware of the pain within me, I can be happy without being dragged down by the pain.
True freedom can be achieved by breaking free from the endless cycle of suffering and pleasure (samsara).
To do that, you must understand the reason.
In 『Dharma Master Beopryun's lectures on the Heart Sutra』, these principles are explained in the easiest language.
And we explain it in a friendly way so that you can apply it to real life and put it into practice.
The five aggregates, the twelve foundations, the eighteen realms, the twelve links of dependent origination, the four noble truths, the eightfold path…
『Dharma Wheel Monk's Lectures on the Heart Sutra』, which reveals that Buddhist ideas that made Buddhism seem like an inaccessible barrier, like an unknown spell, are actually simple and surprising principles.
At this very moment, here, I present to you the path to liberation that will free everyone from suffering and bring them happiness.
