A heart-pounding call
Description
Book Introduction
The problem is that we are too complicated. When we simply obey God's calling God has finally done it! Abraham was suddenly commanded, “Leave your country, your relatives and your father’s house and go to the land I will show you.” I was thinking about how embarrassed Abraham must have been after receiving such a confusing order, but there was a passage that really caught my eye. “Abram… set out to go to the land of Canaan, and he came to the land of Canaan” (Genesis 12:5) As I read the simple narrative that omitted all of Abraham's complex feelings and processes, my complicated mind was also organized. Moreover, when I realized that the description of “finally entering the land of Canaan” begins in the preceding verse 4, I realized that the problem was that my mind was unnecessarily complicated. “So Abram departed as the LORD had told him…” (Genesis 12:4) Before the word 'leave' came 'simple obedience' and the 'simple results' obtained through such obedience. I decided to follow this formula for the big task given to me, the ‘One Thousand Saints Dispatch Movement.’ After that, I started studying Abraham with all my church members. Each week of preparing the Word was a time of guidance from God that He gave me in my life, and a time of joy that He granted me when I obeyed. - From the prologue |

Into the book
The destination now is Canaan.
But along the way, I went off in a strange direction.
The genealogy of Terah is a story of a man who was supposed to go to Canaan, but ended up staying in Haran and wasting his time there.
Could this be what we are like?
--- p.22
We must “put off the old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires,” and run toward Canaan according to God’s word “Go.”
You can't be content with the present.
I believe that the ability to break away from the old habits that we have been comfortable with will begin to manifest itself from now on.
--- p.44
To ask for blessings because you believe in Jesus, to ask for an easy path from now on, to ask for no failures, is to not know anything.
Meeting God and the heavy rain, falling into a puddle, and experiencing how He rescues you—all of this is a story.
--- p.63
The stage that dreamers must pass through is the training ground.
Why do you do this? Do you know what the greatest benefit a dreamer enjoys? It's that you're given the opportunity to grow and develop as much as you dream.
I've experienced it all these years.
--- p.81
Let's think about it from Abraham's perspective.
If Abraham had taken the approach of praying and petitioning to God when faced with a problem too big to solve on his own, rather than trying to solve it according to his own ideas or plans, Abraham would never have been overcome by fear.
--- p.107
If we leave God's realm, even if we are Abraham, the father of faith, we will be rebuked by the people of the world and will be speechless before them.
Even if he is a prophet, when a captain who does not believe in God asks, "What are you doing instead of praying?", he will be so ashamed that he will not even be able to make an excuse.
--- p.125
Abraham demonstrates remarkable maturity in this interpersonal test. What message should we take from this? What we must remember and strive for with fullness is that we must face the challenges of interpersonal relationships with maturity.
--- p.140
There was one thing Lot didn't know.
The truth is that any land that catches one's eye is a land that all greedy people seek.
From this perspective, it is accurate to analyze the incident in which Lot was taken captive as God's punishment for Lot, who, due to his greed, failed to see God's guidance.
--- p.177
Although he may have appeared immature and weak at first, Abraham's true nature is that he is a progressive and oriented being who moves forward step by step toward his goal and toward maturity.
--- p.197
It was wrong for disbelief to sprout within Abraham, but it was right for him to confess that fact to God.
This is because only then can we receive God's correction.
Are there any instances in our lives where our flawed thoughts and judgments are being corrected? Reflect deeply and consider this.
--- p.221
Do we have this urgency about life, about God, and about faith? Shouldn't we desperately cling to God to know Him? It's a matter of our souls.
--- p.236
God, who came as a torch to Abraham, who was afraid in the darkness, passed between the animals that had been split and comforted him by saying, “I promise you on my own behalf.”
Another word for faith is waiting.
We must not forget this fact.
--- p.263
God, who sees the tears of a worthless life, did not just happen to meet Hagar.
When the angel of the Lord met Hagar by the spring in the wilderness, it was a meeting that God had prepared with all his heart.

Publisher's Review
When God calls, you go.
No need to overthink or overthink it!
Our minds are so complex as we live our lives facing countless problems and difficulties.
The author says that we, who live our lives thinking complicatedly and considering this and that, must learn from Abraham, who simply obeyed God's calling.
Because God's calling is a heart-pounding call to bless us and to live a blessed life.
Of course, Abraham, who left after receiving God's calling, did not walk a smooth path.
However, as we deeply meditate on the trials and tribulations he experiences through this book, we come to realize how amazing God's grace and guidance are.
This is because God wants to help those who have His dream grow into people worthy of that dream through trials and tribulations.
So, if you are feeling frustrated and afraid because you cannot see ahead, now is the time to witness God who helps you grow and guides our lives.
