Into the book
The Lord Encourages Joshua (1:1-9)
The west wind is blowing.
The wind blowing from across the Jordan River carries the fresh scent of grass.
The fresh, green scent of grass wafting from the green pastures of that land is also the scent of their future.
Thirty days passed after Moses left.
It was the beginning of the first month of the 41st year after the Exodus (around 1406 BC).
Moses died on the summit of Mount Nebo, facing the Promised Land, without ever setting foot on the land of Canaan.
It was around the beginning of December in the 40th year after the Exodus, when Moses was 120 years old (around 1407 BC).
The plains of Moab on the banks of the Jordan River.
Across the river, the city of Jericho, the gateway to central Canaan, stands tall on a high hill.
Even at a glance, you can tell that it is an impregnable, fortified city.
Then the word of God came to Joshua.
“Joshua, my servant Moses is dead; now you must lead the people of Israel.
Get up and prepare to cross the Jordan River.
“Wherever your feet set foot, I will give you your territory.”
The great leader is gone, but the great work must continue.
Now the ministry passed on to Joshua.
Joshua clenches his fist.
“Your territory will extend from the wilderness to Lebanon, from the great river Euphrates to all the land of the Hittites, and as far as the Mediterranean Sea on the west.”
(syncopation)
1 Samuel 1
Hannah's Prayer
Elkanah's Family Goes Up to the Sanctuary at Shiloh (1:1-8)
Israel left Egypt and settled in the Promised Land of Canaan (around 1400 BC). Ten years later, Joshua, Moses' successor and hero of the war to conquer Canaan, died at the age of 110 (around 1390 BC).
After this, Israel entered the long period of 340 years of the period of the judges, ruled by 12 judges until the establishment of the first king, Saul (c. 1390-1050 BC).
The judges appeared as saviors whenever Israel faced a crisis, but they did not have strong ruling power like Moses or Joshua and were active locally in their own regions, so they were unable to unite the twelve tribes of Israel into one nation.
Moreover, the era of the Judges was a dark time of corruption and lawlessness.
This is because the people of Israel turned away from God and His Word and worshipped foreign idols such as Baal and Asherah, each acting according to their own thoughts.
As a result, Israel often suffered from God's punishment and suffered from foreign invasion and oppression for nearly 100 years out of the 340 years of the period of the judges.
Fortunately, because of God's mercy and pity for Israel, judges rose up from time to time to fulfill the role of savior, and Israel was able to barely preserve the promised land of Canaan without being destroyed.

The storytelling Bibles published by Seongseowon, one by one, are not mass-produced by machines, but rather are woven together verse by verse with the goal of helping readers better understand the Bible through stories and background knowledge.
So, every time I hear news of a new book being published, I run to it with surprise, wonder, and joy.
May God hold you until the very last moment!

Finally, the history book has come out.
First of all, I thank God.
Thank you for publishing the Storytelling Bible, which makes the Lord's word easier to understand for many people.
I believe that the Lord intervenes in all things.
Revised Standard Version. Easy Bible.
I read the storytelling and it felt like a reference book.
A storytelling Bible written like a story in an easy-to-understand way.
Personally, I would like to recommend reading it together with the Revised Version or the Easy Bible rather than just reading the Storytelling Bible.
Through the history books, I pray that many people will once again acknowledge the Lord as the Lord of all nations, learn how God has carried out His will in world history, and which nations and people are the Lord's kingdom and people. I pray that we will realize how we should live as the Lord's people in these difficult times and hope only for the Lord's kingdom.

Finally, the historical storytelling Bible, 1 and 2 Kings, has been published.
thank you
I also bought two sets of the Pentateuch and gave them as gifts to new believers and Bible readers around me, and they loved them.
I also enjoy reading the Storytelling Bible because it is written in a more narrative style and develops more vividly than other easy-to-read Bibles or message Bibles.
I will continue to pray for the prophets and poets, as well as the historical books.
Thank you, Seongseowon, fighting! ^^

I've purchased both the paper and e-book versions of the Pentateuch, the Storytelling Bible, and have only purchased the history books in paper form so far. However, Ezra-Esther will be published next month, so I think I'll be able to purchase the e-book version of the history books soon.
I know that there are many prayers and thoughts involved in the process of publishing the Bible, the word of God.
Although it is a little later than planned, I pray that the correct gospels permitted by God the Father will be published even if it is delayed further.

The miraculous story of the Bible has finally been published! What kind of story will thrill me this time?
As expected, I've been waiting for a long time.
The storytelling Bible is also fun.
It also makes sense.
This time too, I won't disappoint you. I'll be immersed in the world of the storytelling Bible.
4) What kind of book is the Storytelling Bible?
Immersed in the story of our lives
The Holy Story of Life and Salvation
The Storytelling Bible of Seongseowon has been created to make it very easy to understand the contents of the Bible in the 'story form' that has been most familiar to people since ancient times.
This is not a summary of the Bible or an excerpt of its main points.
Even the parallel texts of the Bible are not omitted at all, and each verse is followed with annotations and commentary, telling the story as a “magnified Bible” that conveys the message of the Bible to readers in a friendly and fun way.
The Storytelling Bible is 2-4 times longer than the original Bible text, as it includes not only stories but also commentary and explanations.
For example, based on the text of the Easy Bible, “The Story of Joseph and His Brothers” (Genesis 37-50) is 200 pages of 200-character manuscript paper.
However, in the Storytelling Bible, it is 2.5 times as many, with 500 pages.
The reason for this increased volume is that in the storytelling Bible, the storyteller not only objectively explains the biblical text, but also confessionally states his or her own response to the Word through devout and holy meditation after reading the text.
When the author's emotions meet the reader's emotions, the reader can experience sharing the Word, enriching their lives.
Therefore, when it comes to understanding the Bible, it is much better to read the storytelling Bible once than to read the text 10 times without understanding it.

8) Why is storytelling necessary in the Bible?
Storytelling Bible
1.
Definition: The world's first and only Bible that tells and explains the entire Bible (1,189 chapters) in a story-like manner (in an easy and fun way)!
2.
Why is it necessary? (i.e., is there a real need to publish this book?)
1) It helps you understand the Bible properly and completely.
The Bible is a book of 66 books written by about 40 authors over a period of approximately 1,500 years, from about 1,400 BC to about 100 AD.
So, it is a book written about the history, geography, language, customs, and weights and measures of the ancient Middle East, centered around ancient Israel, 3,500 to 2,000 years ago.
This means, "It's incredibly difficult for today's average Christian reader to truly understand the Bible!" Therefore, even highly educated readers, without the aid of commentaries or expositions, struggle to grasp even 50% of the Bible's content.
That is why there have been many translations of the Bible into ‘easy language’, but they only explain the words and sentences of the Bible in an easy way, and there are still limitations to a complete understanding of the Bible.
Example) Ruth 1:11-13 Revised Standard Version Bible “Then Naomi said, ‘Return, my daughters! Why should you go with me? Are there still sons in my womb who will become your husbands? Turn back, my daughters, for I am old and cannot have a husband. Even if I say, ‘There is hope,’ and even if I were to have a husband tonight and bear sons, why would you wait until they grow up, and why would you set your heart on being without a husband?”
Storytelling Bible [Background Explanation] What Naomi said at this time was in mind of the long-standing custom of 'step-marriage' in Israelite society.
Intermarriage is a custom in which, when a husband dies and there are no children to carry on the family line, the widow continues the family line through another brother of the deceased husband.
Therefore, if Naomi had a grown son, the two widows could continue their family line through him.
But Naomi had only two dead sons, and she was too old to remarry and have children.
So, instead of suffering as a widow without a husband or children for the rest of your life since you don't even have any hope of remarriage, you should go out and find a new life while you are still young.
It was said with sincere concern for the future of his two daughters-in-law (Ruth and Orpah).
2) It makes reading the Bible easy and fun.
The Bible, consisting of 66 books, is enormous in volume.
Approximately 15,000 pages of 200-character manuscript paper.
250-page single volume, a whopping 20 volumes.
This enormous volume of the Bible was written in a stiff, archaic style, without even punctuation, against the backdrop of the difficult language, customs, and history of the ancient world.
So, it is very difficult to read the entire book without a certain amount of determination and patience.
Even if I read with difficulty, I quickly forget it and cannot even properly understand what I read.
The Storytelling Bible, consisting of 24 volumes, is written in a simple, modern language that we use today, with accurate punctuation, and is written in a dialogue style that captures the emotions of each character, making it easy and fun to read.
Moreover, footnotes, exposition, and background explanations are naturally incorporated into the sentences, and maps and pictures are appropriately inserted, making it easier and more enjoyable to read the Bible while properly understanding it.
