God who lives so vividly
Description
Book Introduction
When we obey the Word and overcome our circumstances and situations, we move forward.
That life becomes the Lord's history!
In a world where many people ask God to show them that He is alive, and if He is alive, to give them an easy and comfortable path, this is the story of Pastor Ahn Ho-seong, who offered his life as proof that God is alive.
His life, in which he deliberately chose difficult and challenging conditions, rejected the easy and comfortable paths offered to him, and overcame circumstances and situations to pursue a mission that made his heart beat, became God's work, testifying to the existence of God, and passionately challenges and encourages us to become that testimony as well.
Parts 1-3 tell the story of how the author was called to be a servant of God, something he had longed to avoid, and how he pioneered a church on his own with passion and courage amidst countless difficulties, and how that church grew into a church that dedicated its life to worship and evangelism. Part 4 contains the author's powerful message about the values of our lives and the standard of faith that we must hold onto until the end.

Into the book
When I was five, I thought my name was 'Pastor's Son.'
…I couldn't tolerate the mistakes or words or actions that children my age might make.
'My father is a pastor, but I'm not a pastor, am I?'
It seemed like I was the only one who knew this obvious fact, and that no one else did.
--- pp.20-21
My parents called together my older sister, me, and my younger sister, three siblings, saying that they had an inheritance to leave us.
I know you have nothing to leave me since you retired without even receiving a dime, so what kind of inheritance can you leave me?
That day, after sitting down with the three siblings and their spouses, my father finally spoke after a long time.
“Listen carefully! Dad and Mom have been pastors their entire lives, but never once did it as a profession.
I have never taken up pastoral work as a profession to make a living even for a single day.
This is the most precious legacy I will leave you and the blessing I will pass on to you.”
I couldn't stop crying at my father's heavy words.
Because as a pastor, I know how great and powerful that proclamation is.
--- p.27
“God, if you forgive me and send me to the Full Gospel Church, I will live my whole life with a repentant heart.
“Please use me as a servant to break down the walls in the hearts of those who, like me, harbor prejudices and arrogant superiority complexes toward the religious order.”
After praying for a week and receiving God's permission, I entered the Full Gospel Theological Seminary and became the pastor of the Full Gospel Church, a unique person who had never attended the church even for a single day.
--- p.80
A word the professor casually said struck my heart.
Ulsan is the tomb of the pure gospel.
…the words sounded so loud in my ears.
"Yes, this is it! Since I've come to the Full Gospel Church, I shouldn't just live a carefree life. Instead, I should go to the most difficult and challenging places and dedicate my life to testifying that God is alive and well!"
And my heart was pounding like it was going to burst.
'Let's go to the tomb of the pure gospel!'
--- pp.91-92
After getting married, I received 300,000-400,000 won per month in allowance.
After donating here and there, I was left with barely enough for living expenses.
But I lived by faith, looking only to the Lord.
When he was about to starve to death, a crow would inevitably fly in and give him his daily bread, then disappear.
--- pp.144-145
There have been several instances where our church has asked to close its doors for the sake of life and truth.
In 2013, too, there was a case where the store was resolutely shut down.
I am thankful that we still have the courage to declare that when a church fails to be a church, such a church must collapse, such a church must perish, such a church must close its doors.
--- p.168
“Yes, God.
“I’m so sick I could die.”
“That’s exactly what I feel.
“Do you know the heart of a father who has lost his child?”
That day, God taught me that the pain that took my breath away, the pain that felt like my intestines were going to burst, was the heart of a father who had lost his child, the heart of a father who watches his child die.
--- p.193
If you are in a difficult situation in life where you cannot take a single step, our living God is
I hope that through this writing, you will be able to listen to the comforting voice and the earnest call to challenge.
“KEEP GOING!”
"Keep going! Keep going! Keep going! Keep going! Cheer up and take another step!" I hope this book will convey the comforting hand that pats your weary shoulders, encouraging and encouraging you.
--- p.218
I desire to completely kill my thoughts, my emotions, my circumstances, and my ego before God's word and authority and offer them as sacrifices that God will be pleased to accept.
This is the “spiritual worship that pleases God.”
…the church does not come out to live, but to die.
--- p.227
The prayer that literally made me prostrate myself before the Lord until my knees were worn out was the only strength and source that this poor person had to carry out the Lord's work.
I still solve and resolve all pastoral problems through prayer.
If that doesn't work, fast and devote yourself to God for several days.
--- p.229
When we see ourselves and our families losing our gratitude or losing our original intentions and trying to change, we go to our first chapel, kneel, and pray for over an hour, shedding tears and repenting.
"God, please don't let me lose my original intention, don't let me be arrogant, and don't let me lose my gratitude."
…I couldn't tolerate the mistakes or words or actions that children my age might make.

Publisher's Review
“Our God is still alive and well!!”
In a life of obedience to the word, following the mission,
God's work will surely be revealed!
Overcoming difficult and seemingly impossible conditions, repeated frustrations and despair
Pastor Ahn Ho-seong's passionate challenge and encouragement as he testifies to the living God.
I recommend this to these people
ㆍThose who wish to live while experiencing the living presence of God
ㆍPeople who are stuck in difficult situations and impossible conditions
ㆍPeople who become discouraged and resentful due to repeated failures and frustrations
ㆍTheological students preparing for ministry, pastors seeking to pioneer new churches
Prove that God is alive with your life!
When we move forward relying only on God with David's faith,
Even at this very moment, we meet God, who is alive and working.
You must remember this.
If you still believe that God is alive and well, rely on His power, and have the mindset that you can do it, then even in this age, Goliath, not David, will be defeated and fall, and you will be the David of this age.
I especially hope that David's holy anger will be felt in the hearts of Christian youth of this age, and of pastors who dream of and prepare for ministry and pioneering.
Even in this age, God is still alive and powerful. May we be blessed to become Davids of this age, proving our faith not with our lips but through our own ministry and lives.
The shameful confession of the small fruits of ministry and life by those who are lacking is not for boasting or publicity, but only because we hope that many Christians in this land will once again encounter God, who is alive and working brightly even at this very moment.
