The Munhakdongne Youth Literature Award has announced its 8th winner.
From the first winner, 『Bad Family Recipe』, to last year's 『My Superhero Picker Man』, the Munhakdongne Youth Literature Award has provided a wide range of reading material for teenage readers. This year's winner is the full-length novel 『I'll Cross the World to Go to You』 by author Lee Kkot-nim.
This is a story about two metaphors living in different times exchanging letters. While the metaphor in 2016 lives for one year, the metaphor in 1982 lives for 20 years.
The difference in speed changes the relationship between the two people in various ways, and they enter each other's world that was completely unfamiliar to them.

The beginning of an incredible miracle
In 2016, Eun-yu is feeling uneasy as her father prepares to remarry.
He is about to have a mother he never had before, but he knows nothing about the mother who gave birth to him.
A mother shrouded in mystery to the point where it's doubtful she even existed in the world.
Moreover, the father is practically absent, and the presence of 'that woman' who will become the new mother is awkward.
To that metaphor, Dad suggests that Eun-woo write a letter to himself one year from now.
Oddly enough, Eunyu's letter reaches another Eunyu living in 1982, 34 years later.
The past metaphor suspects that Eunhyuk is a spy after receiving a letter full of new words, and the present metaphor misunderstands that someone is replying as a joke.
Their relationship, which started off on a rocky note, gradually develops into one where they open up about their worries and secrets, starting with the 'lucky coin' and gradually clearing up their misunderstandings.

As the titles that started with 'elementary school student' change to 'you,' 'sister,' and 'aunt,' the two metaphors who have never seen each other's faces even once feel closer to each other's existence than those who live face to face every day, and share a friendship that transcends all titles.
In reality, they exchange greetings like, "How are you? How are you doing?", which are difficult to hear, and they talk about failed unrequited loves, future dreams, and embarrassing, happy, and frustrating experiences. Their letters continue until 2002, the year Eun-yu was born.
And at the end, when their worlds become one, the two metaphors will learn what miracle has come to them, and readers will nod their heads as to why their letters had to travel so far in time to reach each other.
