Diagnosis and understanding of children through drawings
Description
Book Introduction
Most of the books on projective drawing tests published in Korea are translations of books published in the United States or Japan.
Projective drawing tests such as the House-Tree-Person Test (HTP), the Kinetic Familial Drawing Test (KFD), and the Star-Wave Test (SWT) introduced in this book are often inaccurate or unsuitable for understanding the psychological characteristics and internal psychological conflicts of Korean children and adolescents because cultural, educational, and environmental factors are projected and colored throughout the drawings.
Therefore, this book not only interprets the structural characteristics of drawings based on cases of domestic children and adolescents obtained from long-term clinical experience, but also introduces and describes cases of psychological disorders diagnosed by case, problem areas, cases with various coexisting pathologies, and comparisons of HTP and KFD response characteristics before and after treatment. By doing so, it demonstrates the diagnostic usefulness of projective drawing tests so that children and adolescents can understand and diagnose their psychological difficulties more deeply and accurately and receive prompt professional help when necessary.
