Into the book
Through the Breast Cancer Café, I met with patients once a month at a local gathering.
These patients also had blood sugar and cholesterol levels that were normal before cancer treatment soar.
In hospitals, protein intake, especially meat, is important because if the neutrophil count drops, the anticancer treatment schedule is postponed.
Until the third round of chemotherapy, I was careful to consume protein through beef, low-fat milk, etc.
However, while reading the book, I came to the conclusion that it is difficult to achieve ideal results with the same diet as the average person.
I started changing my diet starting from the 4th round of chemotherapy.

The most effective foods for preventing cancer were ginger and garlic, followed by cabbage, soybeans, licorice, carrots, and celery.
In particular, cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, etc.) are said to be effective in suppressing cancer cell metastasis in breast cancer.
Phytochemicals contained in vegetables and fruits have the effect of removing carcinogenic substances from the body or repairing damaged genes by inhibiting the transfer of genes that cause cancer.
--- p.
41

Even after standard treatment, normal cells remain severely damaged.
Let's check the overall condition of our body by having regular blood tests.
You should test for vitamin D, thyroid hormones, white blood cell, red blood cell, lymphocyte count, NK cell activity, percentage of harmful bacteria in the intestines, blood sugar, cholesterol, osteoporosis, etc.
Now I have to manage my health indicators myself.
You need to know exactly what these numbers mean.
To normalize your numbers, you should also actively take supplements.
It is difficult to recover through diet alone.
--- p.
46

The first thing a cancer patient should do when changing their dietary habits is to stop using cooking oil.
The cell membrane manages and controls the entry and exit of essential nutrients and oxygen.
Consuming good oils balances the components of cell membranes.
Good oil is oil that has not oxidized or become rancid.
Even if there is sufficient oxygen in the blood, if the cell membrane is oxidized, oxygen cannot pass into the cell.
The cell membrane functions to expel waste products from the cell and bring nutrients in.
The raw material of this cell membrane is oil, which is an essential fatty acid.
There are two types of these oils: omega-3 and omega-6.
Scholars consider the ideal ratio of these two oils to be 1:1 or 1:2.
--- p.
57

When body temperature drops by 1 degree, immunity and basal metabolic rate decrease by 30%.
On the other hand, if your body temperature rises by 1 degree, your immunity increases by 50%.
In particular, the elderly and cancer patients should be most careful about muscle loss.
Muscle loss leads directly to hypothermia.
You should move diligently, make foot baths a daily routine, and eat warm foods.
Root vegetables provide warmth to the body.
Try adding burdock, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin to your diet.
We do not recommend red ginseng, ginseng, or deer antler teas that are too strong to raise body temperature.
Sugar and flour should be avoided as they slow down blood circulation and create an environment of hypothermia.
--- p.
134

Everyone would agree that the basic constitution of cancer patients is an inflammatory constitution and that their bodies are full of toxins.
In an anti-cancer diet, it is more important to eliminate foods that should not be eaten than to consider what to eat.
Typical foods that cause inflammation include sweeteners such as sugar, gluten in wheat flour, milk, dairy products (including yogurt and cheese), cooking oil, and animal protein.
The hospital's cancer diet guidelines have no restrictions on these foods.
The strategy is that if you eat a balanced diet, you can receive cancer treatment well.
However, we must keep in mind that our goal is not to 'receive good chemotherapy'.
--- p.
144

The supplements I suggest are as close to natural products as possible, and are made from plants that are difficult to include in a regular diet.
If you're going to take supplements, you have to choose the 'real thing'.
Even if synthetic and natural nutritional supplements have the same ingredients, their activity and absorption rates in the body are different.
For example, the absorption rate of a 1000mg tablet of vitamin C and that of fruit containing vitamin C are different.
No matter how similar the ingredients of synthetic vitamins are, the human body recognizes the difference between synthetic and natural.
--- p.
159

Chemotherapy and radiation therapy kill stem cells in the bone marrow along with cancer cells.
If we fill our diet after treatment with foods that regenerate stem cells and inhibit angiogenesis of cancer cells, our bodies will regenerate.
Sulforaphane in cabbage and broccoli increases NK cells.
Turmeric and green tea inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells.
--- p.
238

How is my physical condition now?
My physical symptoms of fatigue have completely disappeared.
After completely changing the 'environment of my body where cancer develops', I also lost 12 kg.
Everything returned to normal: fatigue, old shoulder stiffness, skin condition, thyroid hormone levels.
I am feeling refreshed this morning for the first time in 25 years since giving birth.
Pharmacy work is also full of energy all day long.
Even his prickly personality changed to a gentle one.
Instead of being annoyed, he is smiling and enthusiastically serving pharmacy customers.

We provide the latest treatment trends and verify the content based on research papers.
We have compiled helpful information to help patients minimize trial and error and maximize treatment effectiveness.
As a pharmacist, I also introduced supplements that cancer patients must take.

This is a must-read for those who have been diagnosed with cancer, are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery, or are experiencing side effects from taking anti-hormonal drugs after completing standard treatment.
This book not only suggests a path to rapid healing and recovery for breast cancer patients, but is also very useful for readers interested in health, as its main topic is 'creating an environment in my body that prevents cancer.'
