As I began to yearn and yearn for a home with a warm meal, I naturally developed a desire to buy and eat home-cooked meals, even if I had to go out.


The author, who considers the moment of 'the taste of well-cooked rice' and 'eating a well-prepared meal with family' as the greatest happiness in daily life, has been paying attention to 'our rice culture' since he began working as a culinary researcher over 20 years ago.
She opened a home-cooked meal restaurant called 'Ssalgae by Hong Shin-ae' where anyone can come and eat, and prepared a delicious lunch table. Her next restaurant, 'Salt', was well-received for its home-cooked menu that combined Italian and Korean cuisine.
In addition, he operates a 'Farm to Table' restaurant by personally traveling around the country and procuring various seasonal ingredients, and has shared his extensive knowledge of ingredients and cooking know-how with many people through broadcasts and cookbooks.
This book, “Hong Shin-ae’s Rice,” is the author’s third ‘home cooking recipe book.’
From the most common Korean everyday dishes to foreign dishes that captivated his taste buds, he has carefully selected 115 must-try dishes and shares his tips for 'Taste Hong Shin-ae's Cuisine'.
Especially, the 'How to Cook Rice Well' and various delicious meals made with rice that he has compiled, known for being picky about the 'taste of rice', will be very useful information even for beginners in cooking.


The author says that while developing his own culinary philosophy through long experience, his passion for healthy home-cooked meals that he prepares to feed others has also become stronger.
