Book Introduction
This book was written based on the author's experience visiting North Korea through youth soccer exchanges, with the intention of exploring how sports can contribute to improving the severed relationship between the two Koreas.
The Lee Jae-myung administration is pursuing the restoration of inter-Korean relations based on a pragmatic diplomatic approach, but it does not seem easy given North Korea's declaration of "two hostile states."
Concerned that a severance of relations would be more disadvantageous to South Korea than to North Korea, he advocated a shift in thinking to restore trust and sought a new sports exchange strategy to bring North Korea to the negotiating table in the face of changing inter-Korean relations and the global political landscape.
