Publisher's Review
“There are no bad questions in the world.
“There are only unfriendly answers.”
A friendly science book like no other, answering odd questions.

There is a little scientist in the hearts of all children who are curious about everything in the world.
The boundless curiosity of little scientists can be both frustrating and embarrassing for their parents.
This curiosity cannot be satisfied by simply memorizing or solving problems in textbooks or workbooks, and is often criticized as a 'useless question'.
That's an unfriendly answer.
This attitude reduces interest in science and ultimately in learning.

This book aims to satisfy children's boundless curiosity and inspire their interest in learning and exploration, making it a truly "friendly science book" unlike any other.

“First, we need to define what it is.”
A dense and systematic structure that helps scientific thinking

This book is designed to provide friendly answers, from the selection of questions to the solutions and the structure of the book.
From well-known questions like “What should I do if I encounter a ghost?” to novel and unusual ones like “Does poison become more toxic after its expiration date?”, children’s curiosity and interest are piqued.
As children explore unfamiliar questions, they discover that science is fun!

Starting with the trademark "define" of the orbit and gradually narrowing down the topic of discussion is a scientific and interesting storytelling in itself.
The book is filled with quirky dialogue and witty cartoon-style illustrations that capture the hearts of children, making it impossible to put the book down.

Appropriately placed summary sentences and illustrations that aid understanding allow readers to follow the flow of scientific thought naturally.
The summary section provided at the end of each question expands your thinking and allows you to come up with new questions, and the 'Learn More' section allows you to understand curriculum-related concepts related to the topic of the question.

“Until the day science becomes culture”
Special science communication from orbit for children

From being a science communicator to a special professor at the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST), my unwavering goal is to transform science into culture.
The strategy he chose was outrageous storytelling that caught the public off guard.
This allowed people to enjoy and consume science as a game, as culture, as a meme, and the strategy was a huge success.

In this book, his storytelling target is finally expanded to children.
That's why, beyond simple fun, we planned this book with the goal of "strange yet friendly storytelling," examining everything from textbooks to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Nobel Prize, interesting research, and the latest experimental results.

In line with the planning intention, we collaborated with author Nam Seo-yoon, a science communicator who started out as a teacher, to ensure accuracy in the content, and combined with the rich illustrations of author Kim Gyu-taek, who has a reputation for being perfect for children's books such as 『Punctuation Marks Class』 and 『Big Star Teacher Choi Tae-seong's Star? Star Korean History』, any child will be able to fall in love with science.
