The heart of climbing

It has been four years since the publication of 『Oreum Oreum』, a book that contains the records of Oreum that author Park Seon-jeong meticulously compiled over the seven years she lived in Jeju, and 『Oreum Oreum Trekking Map』, which is a meticulous and beautiful compilation of the guide parts of 『Oreum Oreum』.

In the meantime, with each revision, we have organized newly created trails and circuits, checked and included changes in transportation methods, and even redrawn maps to reflect these changes.
For the readers who have consistently and meticulously studied and supported us, as well as for those who want to know more about Oreum, we have published the 『Oreum Oreum 101 Trekking Map』.
It contains 101 peaks, which is almost twice as many as the 『Oreum Oreum Trekking Map』 which contains about 60 peaks.


However, in preparing this book, I put more effort into organizing the lesser-known and beautiful peaks than into the peaks themselves.
The more I encounter new peaks, the more often I see these beautiful peaks being neglected and damaged.
I have only one desire to introduce this precious mountain.
And I believe that the readers of this book will come together.

Nevertheless, the reason I am introducing more and more climbs than before is because I want to protect these climbs, even if only a little, as the extreme rush of people to popular climbs is accelerating the damage, and I also hope that various climbs will receive equal attention and affection.

What does the rise look like?
A climb that is not easy to gauge its overall shape.
The author personally climbed up and down the mountain countless times, step by step, to discover its beautiful face, and of course, he personally drew its bare face.
It contains the unique and lovely face of Orim.

Orim, how do I get there?

Except for a few popularly known peaks, it is almost impossible to find them on your first visit.
In particular, getting there by public transportation is almost a 'challenge'.
After countless trials and errors and trying out various routes, the author finally found and organized the best way to reach the desired mountain by car as well as public transportation.

Climbing, when and how is the best time to climb?

We've compiled the special features of each climb, as well as the trekking order, course, necessary equipment, facilities, required time, and precautions.
In particular, they kindly inform women whether it is safe for them to climb alone and whether children and the elderly can also use the bathhouse.
