I'M an AURORA HUNTER
Description
Book Introduction
Bang Publishing, a travel publishing brand that knocks on readers' hearts with the knock of empathy, is publishing the first essay by Aurora Hunter Mori, author Lee Jun-mo, titled "I'M an AURORA HUNTER - The story of Mori, who travels the world crazy about the Aurora."
From Whitehorse and Yellowknife in Canada, through Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and even Alaska in the United States.
What the top Aurora fanatic in Korea realized while traveling to 9 countries obsessed with the Aurora was the answer to the journey of life, which is that there is no Aurora, no life, no success, and no failure.
This book, which contains the idea that the things we can enjoy and be happy about as we live are fleeting, while the things we must endure and make us sad seem to last forever, is the personal and intimate confession of Aurora Hunter Mori, Lee Jun-mo, who is revealing it to the world for the first time.
Just as his life, which would have been zero if he hadn't set out to find the Aurora, came close to 100 after he set out to find the Aurora, his story, which had not been read by anyone, was zero, but the moment it becomes your story, and finally our story, it will be able to reach 100.
We will guide you on the path taken by the top Aurora fanatic in Korea, who went crazy over the Aurora, saw off the extreme cold season and welcomed the era of the polar lights.
I hope that you, who have been hesitant to try anything out of fear, will find a little sadness and a lot of joy along this path.

Into the book
I doubted my eyes.
A thrilling and strange thrill, something I had never felt before in my life, ran through my body.
I quickly returned to my accommodation and checked on my laptop. The aurora was rising over the mountain and then disappearing quietly as if a soul had left it.
They say that the greater the expectations, the greater the disappointment, but the excitement that came at a moment when there were no expectations like that day was indescribable.
--- p.6 From "Prologue - First Encounter with Her"
The moment I saw the magnificent Aurora Borealis was still the best feeling, but there was a moment that reached the peak of my joy. When the people who came to see the Aurora Borealis with me experienced the same emotions and shed tears, that was the moment when I felt the happiest feeling as an Aurora hunter.
As if Aurora and I had made a promise beforehand, we exchanged words with each other.
'Are you ready to cry?'
'Then I'm ready!'
--- pp.12-13 From "The Magic of Turning a Capital T into an F"
In fact, the aurora doesn't just appear out of nowhere by luck.
Travel, time, stamina, patience, and sometimes even luck.
Only when all the pieces fit together does it become light.
And then you find out.
That a shining moment is just 'a moment'.
Instead, the countless waiting processes I went through for that moment eventually led me to meet Aurora.
--- p.21 From “Process and Results”
We always live with expectations.
And if it doesn't meet your expectations, you may be disappointed.
But that doesn't mean you need to try to lower your expectations.
We easily become discouraged by a single failure or disappointment, but in fact, that is just a part of the process.
Aurora and life, in the end, shine like that someday in the midst of waiting.
“Like you, like me, like all of us”
--- p.34 From “Someday We Will Shine Again”
The probability is expressed as a number between 0 and 100, but ultimately it comes down to either seeing the aurora (100%) or not seeing it (0%).
There can't be any middle ground like this.
If you decide that you won't be able to see the aurora today because the clouds are thick, and you go to sleep, you will end up not seeing the aurora. However, while you are asleep, the clouds may crack and you may see the aurora blooming through them.
Ultimately, 100 and 0 may seem like very distant numbers, but when it comes to the Aurora, they are just a matter of a few points.
That night, when you close your eyes, it might be 0, but when you open them, it might be 100.

Publisher's Review
Challenge Travel Project "I'M" made by 〈Publisher Bang〉
We are entering a season where people do not read books due to the economic downturn.
We are entering an era where we no longer have to wonder about other people's travel stories.
These days, fear is so strong that we are reluctant to try anything.
With the hope that readers will experience anything, whether it be travel, love, or something else, Publisher Bang (ㅂang) is launching the project 『I'M』, which talks about 'challenging travel' in 2025.
The story that the project 『I'M』 will tell you, which will clearly capture the fact that I can exist as myself through travel by gathering pieces of drastically different challenges, will be beautiful and useless, and will also sing of blind romanticism.
I hope that through 『I'M』 you can gain the strength to go somewhere again.
Here is 『I'M』.
