I am Hong Beom-do
Description
Book Introduction
The Life and Truth of General Hong Beom-do, the Legend of the Armed Independence Struggle
Poet Lee Dong-sun, who has been researching and promoting Hong Beom-do for the past half century, including the 10-volume national epic poem “Hong Beom-do” and the biography of Hong Beom-do, “Hong Beom-do, General of the Nation,” has published “I am Hong Beom-do.”
General Hong Beom-do, who was a hunter and hunter who became a leader of the volunteer army and became a legend of the armed independence war by annihilating the Japanese army in the Battle of Bongodong.
However, due to Stalin's forced migration policy, he was forced to move to Kazakhstan in Central Asia, where he lived as a security guard at the Koryo Theater and died alone.
Hong Beom-do, who was illiterate and had no records or records of his whereabouts, left behind the 'Hong Beom-do Diary' in which he dictated his life to officials of the Goryeo Theater in his later years.
Based on that diary, poet Lee Dong-sun added on-site reporting and research, and the book, “I am Hong Beom-do,” was written in which Hong Beom-do personally recounted his memories.
Because Hong Beom-do's innate way of speaking and character come across as it is, he reveals the truth about his life and inner self, making it a delightful read like an old story.

Publisher's Review
Ilsong Book is planning to publish 500 volumes of '500 Korean Figures' sequentially.
The first six volumes, including Chiyou Cheonhwang, Baekseok, Saimdang, Yun Isang, Yulgok, and Toegye, were released in February, and have been well-received by the media and readers.
This time, we are publishing the 4 volumes of the second installment, including Lee Hoe-young, Hong Beom-do, Kim Man-deok, and Dangun Wanggeom.
Each volume is about 200 pages and costs 14,800 won.
"500 Korean Figures" was designed to examine and reflect on the lives of individuals who left a distinct mark on our history, whether positive or negative, and to lead our times and lives to a better future.
We also aim to create the largest and best-ever Korean biographical collection in publishing history, broadly and deeply exploring the identity of Koreans.
The title of each volume is unified as ‘Who am I?’
'Who' contains the name of a person.
We will convey the essence of a person's life and the era in which he or she lived to readers in an impressive and efficient manner.
Above all, I will fully answer the question of why you should read this character now.
For this year's '500 Korean Figures,' Ilsongbuk formed a selection committee comprised of experts from various fields, including history, society, and publishing.
The selection committee selects authors who are well-versed in the people and eras, from the ancient times that have been passed down through myths and legends since the Dangun era to recent figures from the 20th century who are still vivid in our memories.
We are now living in an era of cutting-edge civilization.
We live in a new global era, a new nomadic era, where people travel the world via the Internet or in person.
We live in an age where we are acutely aware that even human identity is being shaken by the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI).
In times like these, human and Korean identity is in greater demand.
That identity is a dog
Of course, it will not be the narrow-minded individualism or nationalism of the country of causality.
The "500 Korean Figures" series, encompassing both conservative and progressive figures, will reveal the vivid identities of individual individuals through the voices of these figures, as well as the identity, essence, and tenacity of Koreans who have tenaciously led the global world and the era of advanced civilization for half a millennium.
While it is a series, each volume is an independent volume, making it easy to read. Please review the four volumes of the second installment of "500 Korean Figures" along with the press release below. We ask for your interest and support.
