Into the book
Realizing God's grace in transforming Lee's weakness into strength, we will offer up a song of thanksgiving and confession as follows:
“God, thank you for giving me weakness.”
--- pp.10-11
I believe that as time passes and we are exposed to the Word of God, the seeds of religion planted within our souls can grow toward the gospel.
If we believe this, we must continue to invite one soul after another to the scene of the Word.
--- p.26
The means of general revelation are conscience, nature, man, order, history, society, the common good, talents, politics, etc.
By looking at these things, humans can vaguely perceive the existence of an absolute being.
--- p.33
According to the consistency of the Bible, the Old Testament records 'Jesus Christ who will come', and the New Testament records 'Jesus Christ who has come'.
All of the Bible reveals Jesus Christ from a unified perspective.
--- p.48
The practical application of perichoresis is to integrate the dichotomous world of the disabled and the non-disabled, the First World and the Third World, men and women, nature and humanity, new believers and existing believers.
We must realize the perichoresis of the Trinity on this earth.
--- p.72
Because God loved humans, he gave them free will and at the same time controlled that freedom through the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
This is also in line with the principles that God established in the world.
Because if there is freedom, there must be control for order and regulation to maintain peace.
--- p.81
Because Jesus experienced humility, we can receive comfort, resonance, and love from God.
We must apply Jesus' humble status to our lives.
You must come down from a position of being treated to a position of serving.
--- p.112
The Holy Spirit gave special grace to the saints.
Special grace removes original sin in humans and exempts humans from the responsibility and punishment for sin they deserve.
The Holy Spirit transforms the inner being of man through special grace, gradually purifying him from the corruption caused by sin.
The ultimate goal of special grace is the salvation and eternal life of the saints.
--- p.149
Rebirth brings about a change in destiny (from death to life), a change in status (from servant to child), and a change in existence (from sinner to righteous) for the saints.
--- p.171
God established the Bali Korean Church in Bali, Indonesia, according to His will and plan (Ephesians 1:11), and through this Korean church, He wanted to carry out missionary work for Koreans and Indonesians.
To continue that mission, God sent our family to Bali to restore and heal the Bali Korean Church, which was in trouble.
No matter which church I am sent to in the future, I will believe in this ecclesiological reason and serve.
--- p.200
In fact, a local resident of a village adjacent to the church asked, “Are you a pastor or a boss?”
It was confusing.
The question, “Are you a pastor?” or “Are you a president?” is similar to God’s question to Adam in Genesis 3, “Where are you?”, asking about his spiritual identity.
--- p.232
The triune God brings the strengths I will enjoy in the future into the here and now, into my present, and covers my weaknesses.
That is why I can live as a saint today too.
--- p.253
Looking back, I was able to deeply experience God's great grace even in the midst of my numerous weaknesses.
We cannot help but confess that what seemed to be insufficient in human eyes was transformed into new strength and possibility in God's hands.
