In other words, this book can be said to be the result of researching Milton Erickson's counseling theory and practice over the past 30 years and applying it to counseling practice.
This book is largely divided into eight chapters.
That is, it explains the individualization of the approach including 'diagnosis, de-theoretical approach, counselor immersion, Milton Ericksonian hypnosis, trance and counseling cases', human encounter including 'building trusting relationships, empathic understanding, fostering hope, participatory observation and active listening', acceptance of reality including 'accepting and following desires, accepting negative experiences, securing a sense of safety, and psychological improvement', indirect and permissive approach including 'approaching potential, relating to the client's unconscious, metaphor, and utilizing the client's metaphor', accepting resistance and giving choices including 'resistance approach, inviting the unconscious, accepting responsibility and choosing, choice and counseling cases', issues of relationships and culture including 'exploring relationship issues, problems in relationship patterns, mediating between the counselor and culture, and the importance of cultural awareness', and focusing on breathing including 'paying attention to breathing, breathing meditation, and sensory awareness'.
This book can be said to be one of those books.
