Book Introduction
The purpose of studying the history of education is to develop a historical perspective and understanding of educational phenomena by studying the historical development of education.
In other words, the goal is to understand how educational activities aimed at forming desirable human beings have historically developed and developed, and to develop the insight and ability to understand and diagnose today's educational realities and problems from a historical perspective by understanding the historical changes in education and the historical, social, and cultural backgrounds within which such changes occurred.
This textbook consists of 14 chapters in 3 parts.
Part 1 examines the history of education in our country, divided into periods from ancient times to modern times.
Part 2 consists of five chapters, examining the evolution and development of Western education across ancient, medieval, and modern periods.
Finally, in Part 3, we trace the roots of our current education and, based on this, reflectively envision the future.
