Publisher's Review
It's heartbreaking to see teenagers these days unable to have a normal school life due to COVID-19.
Even amidst the chaos inside and outside of school, teenagers must do what they need to do.
Despite this, most teenagers seem to be getting through their days like that.
However, suicide is the number one cause of death among teenagers in our country, and self-harm is becoming a subject of concern due to its prevalence.
The government and experts have established various systems and institutions to help at-risk teenagers and youth, and have developed and implemented various counseling services such as youth counseling, weekly class counseling, and text counseling.
However, the difficulties that teenagers experience in our society still exist.
The situation will improve if the problem of suicide and self-harm among teenagers is accurately understood and the most appropriate and professional help is provided.
Providing professional help based on an accurate understanding of the suicide and self-harm behaviors exhibited by teenagers would be of real help.

This book accurately understands the characteristics of suicide and self-harm exhibited by teenagers and is composed of content that can provide the most effective and professional help to teenagers at risk of suicide and self-harm based on this understanding.
The entire session was structured around the topics of understanding suicide and self-harm, warning signs, risk factors, prevention, and support.
It will be very helpful to experts, as it provides a very detailed explanation of the topics to be covered in each session, specific activities, use of activity logs, and feedback.

In today's increasingly competitive and competitive world, when we experience frustration and failure, it is the role of professionals to help us deal with difficult crises appropriately, rather than being overwhelmed and giving in to them, leading to suicide or self-harm.
We hope that professionals who provide professional psychological counseling to teenagers at risk of suicide or self-harm will effectively use the contents of this book to enhance their expertise and thereby provide much help to teenagers in crisis.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to CEO Noh Hyun of PYMATE, who provided invaluable assistance in making the publication of the "Expert Guidelines for the Prevention of Youth Suicide and Self-Harm," and to Ms. Choi Eun-hye, who meticulously reviewed the manuscript despite her busy schedule.
