A picture book about social skills for children with autism
Description
Book Introduction
It was created for children with autism who process visual information well but have difficulty learning when explained only verbally.
By presenting verbal explanations along with pictures representing various social situations, we were able to attract the attention of children with autism and help them adapt their acquired social skills to reality.
The authors demonstrated through activities with students with autism that they learn more effectively when verbal explanations and instructions are supplemented with pictures.
This book will be particularly useful for children with autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and learning disabilities.
