Support for infant play, where infants become the main actors in learning.
Description
Book Introduction
The title of this book is 'Education Following in the Child's Footsteps', and the first volume, 'Supporting Infant Play to Make Infants the Subject of Learning', was published in July 2022, and a revised edition has been released three years later.
The revision points are that the learning reading area has been adjusted from the existing six areas to five areas in line with the 2024 revised standard childcare curriculum (ages 0-2), and efforts have been made to record play support according to the interests, concerns, and developmental needs of infants in more detail.

The second volume of 'Education Following in the Child's Footsteps' is 'Supporting Early Childhood Play, Where Children Become the Subjects of Learning'.
The two-volume "Children's Footprints" series provides a simple and concise play-centered curriculum that allows teachers, parents, and anyone raising and educating infants and toddlers to follow and support children's interests and curiosity. It also includes various tips and play examples so that they can be used to support actual play for infants and toddlers.
When infants play and become the subject of learning, the five human characteristics pursued in the standard childcare curriculum are comprehensively expressed in that play.
This book introduces play based on the human image that stands out among the human images pursued in the standard childcare curriculum, and provides guidance to help you properly understand infant play by finding the meaning of learning within it.

To help you understand children's play while reading comfortably, figure out what interests the child in that play, and provide appropriate support, we have included sections at the back of the case study titled 'Understanding Infants' Experiences', 'Home Connection', 'Infant's Interests and Concerns', 'Next Play Support Plan', 'Consultation Between Teacher and Infant', and 'Consultation Between Teacher and Teacher' to specifically guide you on what concerns to have and what practices to implement with children.
