Learners will acquire the knowledge and nursing skills necessary to promote and restore the health of high-risk mothers and high-risk children from newborns to preschool age, and will be able to select and perform appropriate nursing interventions for the target population.
This book consists of 15 chapters in 2 parts. Part 1 is broadly divided into high-risk maternal nursing and Part 2 is high-risk child nursing.
Part 1 consists of a total of 5 chapters.
In this revision, Chapter 1 covers the characteristics and prevention of high-risk pregnancies, while also including the causes and treatment of infertility.
Chapters 2 through 5 divide high-risk maternal subjects into groups by period and supplement the latest knowledge and interventions in high-risk pregnancy nursing, fetal health assessment, high-risk labor and delivery nursing, and high-risk maternal nursing.
Part 2 consists of a total of 10 chapters, and along with the reorganization, it adds content on family-centered nursing and communication with children and families, and supplements the latest nursing knowledge and interventions related to diseases that can occur in infants and toddlers.
Chapter 6 provides a general understanding of hospitalized children and explains ethical considerations in pediatric nursing.
Chapter 7 focuses on the concept and intervention of family-centered nursing, as well as the content of communication.
Chapters 8 through 14 focus on various serious diseases that can occur from newborns to infants.
Lastly, Chapter 15 describes the assessment and diagnostic testing methods for tumors that may appear in infants and toddlers, as well as nursing interventions according to the disease.
