We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our readers for their great love for this book every year.
Since last year, this book has served as a basic textbook not only for lectures for current students but also for the 'Bar Exam' lecture.
Regarding the first attempt last year, there were some test takers who missed the traditional summary-style study guides simply by looking at the thickness or appearance of the book, but instead of worrying about such things, test takers who steadily read from “[Pre-Sagi] Integrated Basic Lecture on Civil Procedure Law” to “[FINAL] Final Review Lecture on Civil Law” actually achieved amazing results in the 14th Bar Examination in 2025.


This year, we're fully prepared to leverage the convenience and consistency of the same textbook while also tailoring each lecture to its specific goals (high GPAs for current students and passing the bar exam for test-takers).


This 2025 edition of the 4th edition has a number of 'improvements', including:


First, we have added a number of Supreme Court precedents, including the most recent ones.
We've added the latest case law, cases highlighted in civil trial practice and the Judicial Research and Training Institute's training program, and for in-depth case law, we've included more detailed footnote explanations. This year, we've also added some important case law cases needed for the "multiple-choice" exam.
With this, the total number of Supreme Court precedents included in this book is approaching 1,000.

It includes all regulations that will be implemented in 2025, reflecting all revisions.
In particular, it is essential to establish measures to address abuse of the right to petition and appeal, and to establish a new period for submitting a statement of reasons for appeal.


Third, we have further strengthened the book's major strength, 'footnotes (analysis, organization, comparison, and evaluation of case law).'


While teaching this book, I took notes every year on the content that would increase lecture efficiency and be more convenient for students if it was expressed in footnotes, and I included all of it in footnotes in this revision as well.
Of course, many parts can still be clearly understood through the pictures, explanations, and examples provided in the academy lectures, but this means that many more parts have been included in the footnotes compared to before the revision.
Especially for the latest case law, which is becoming increasingly important and difficult by the day, we paid more attention to detailed analysis and explanation through footnotes.
