Pharmacist Ethics
Pharmacist Ethics
Description
Book Introduction
This is the first pharmaceutical ethics textbook in Korea that systematically and in-depth explains 'ethics', an essential virtue for pharmacists, a profession that deals with life, and was written by nine pharmacy school professors.

Part 1 explains the theoretical foundation of ethics, including basic concepts, ethical theories, and principles, thereby helping students acquire knowledge in the humanities and social sciences.
Parts 2 and 3 comprehensively present pharmaceutical ethics, including social ethics (health inequality, resource allocation, etc.), bioethics (contraception, abortion, life-sustaining treatment, suicide, etc.), science and technology ethics (research ethics related to new drug development, such as clinical trials and animal testing), and ethics of the pharmaceutical profession (professional ethics, interpersonal ethics, etc.).
Part 4 introduces a variety of ethical in-depth cases that pharmacists will encounter in their practice. These cases can be used in parallel with the previous chapters (Chapters 1 through 8) or in separate case-centered discussion classes.
Each chapter includes case studies related to the theoretical content, enabling case-centered discussion classes along with theoretical learning. In addition, the content of 'ethics', which is often perceived as difficult, is explained in a more easily understandable way.

I hope this book will help you develop the ability and confidence to make ethical, value-based decisions in the various situations you will encounter while performing your duties as a pharmacist.
