Publisher's Review
The most notable feature of this book is that it was written by counselors who have been counseling youth in the counseling field for many years.
The authors not only understand youth counseling theoretically, but also understand the various physical, emotional, and behavioral characteristics of youth they encounter in real-life settings and apply this to counseling. Therefore, novice counselors can fully inherit the authors' expertise in youth counseling through this book.

Another unique feature of this book is that it presents seven real-life cases from the authors' experiences as novice counselors, from the first session to the last, including abbreviated transcripts.
The case study contains the actual counseling content, from how the writers understood the client's problem at the time to the counselor's verbal responses and alternative questions. At the end of each session, the client's behavioral changes, the triggers for the behavioral changes, and areas that could be explored further are analyzed and organized into a 'mentor's story.'
Through this, the writing team tried to point out once again the points that counselors should analyze and pay attention to when analyzing the changed behavior of adolescents.
Therefore, this book allows novice counselors to examine and apply real-life cases one by one.

Finally, a noteworthy point in this book is that at the end of each case, a "review of the case by a counselor" is provided, which explains the origin of the client's problem, therapeutic intervention, appropriateness of counseling, and alternatives.
Therefore, this book allows novice counselors to comprehensively review cases at a glance and even consider alternatives to the cases.
