Into the book
What made my heart race the most was ‘travel.’
I took a short trip every weekend.
My family and friends were worried that I would lose energy and struggle after the surgery, but each time I returned from a trip, I felt more energetic.
“I want to live and achieve your dreams together.
“I’m not confident alone, but with you, I feel like I can sail through life like those waves.”
Now I know.
That there are no right answers in life.
It's important to focus on myself without comparing myself to others, and to live at my own pace and in the direction I want.
That the person who cheers me on the most passionately in my life must ultimately be myself.
For me, photography has become more than just a record; it has become a gift that gives me a wider world.
The morning sunlight was pouring into the room through the large window.
To add to the atmosphere, I boiled some water and poured it into a mug.
Smoke rose as hot water and cold air met.
The light-filled smoke danced and swayed as if by magic.
As always, the best ingredient in photography is light.
It had snowed so much all night that the sandy beach was a field of untrodden snow.
It was like a fluffy chiffon cake sprinkled with powdered sugar.
He flapped his arms and legs up and down like a swimmer lying in a snow-covered sea.
Why do my eyes, which should be cold, feel so warm?
When I looked up, the sun was rising.
A warm and cozy light enveloped us.
In the distance, the waves sparkled like jewels scattered on the waves, breaking like grains of sand.
I approach under the low plum tree branches and spread out my hands gently.
The warm sunlight draws the shadow of a flower on my hand.
The energy of spring filled in both hands.
Come on, spring.
Camellia flowers are beautiful even when they are withering.
Unlike other flowers that wither and drop their petals, camellias fall to the ground whole, maintaining their beautiful appearance until the very end.
Every time I step on a fallen camellia flower, I feel the power of the flower that blooms in hardship and the joys and sorrows of life.
Cornelian cherry blossoms look like round flower buds from a distance, but when you look closely, the shape of the flowers is unique.
At the end of the flower stalk, 20 to 30 small flowers are arranged radially, and the petals are pointed and oblong in shape.
It seemed as if the hard husk had been broken and the yellow flowers had burst open like corn kernels.
When I think of the dogwood blossoms as firecrackers, I feel like I can hear the sounds coming from all over the place.
Creating small joys by taking time out of your daily life.
Aren't those small moments what accumulate and give us strength?
For me, flowers were a source of comfort when I was having a hard time and feeling lonely.
I remember finding solace in flowers, comforting my weary heart, and healing my wounds in the embrace of nature.
Not a word was said, but just being there was enough.
I'm usually not very good at expressing myself, but when I take pictures, the words "pretty" come out naturally.
When you look at an object with affection, that gaze seems to be captured in the photograph.
The best gift I ever gave myself was always travel.
The sound of birds chirping along the hydrangea road and the happy laughter of two people filled the quiet island.
The happiest moment in taking pictures is when I can record the shining moments of my loved ones.
There are purple flowers that bloom quietly in the shade, escaping the hot sun of summer days.
It's Ophiopogon japonicus.
Ophiopogon japonicus is characterized by small, round, granular flowers clustered at the end of long stems.
It looks like each purple crunch ball has been carefully attached to a Pepero stick.
Before taking a photo, I spent more time understanding the subject and experiencing the process of finding my own perspective within it.
What I was missing all this time was not a better camera, but an understanding and affection for what I was looking at.
Through photography, I was able to penetrate deeper into that moment and rediscover myself within it.
Like raindrops on the tips of red petals of a flower pot, a single photo captures everything: the breath I took, the time I paused, and even the gaze I looked at.
For me, photography is like play.
Not only does it capture the emotion of the moment, it also opens a window through which you can see a new world through the lens.
My dream is to be a cheerful grandmother who explores the world with a camera and plays with photography even when I'm 80 years old.
