Real Mom English with an American Mom
Real Mom English with an American Mom
Description
Book Introduction
No more awkward Korean English!
Our child is used by local American parents
Learn perfect native English!

Any parent with children worries a lot about when and how to start their child's English studies.
Learning English is like slow food, something that must be completed slowly over a long period of time. It is a field that requires long-term planning and execution.

Author Catherine Kim (American mom), a native English speaker who teaches her son English in Busan, has a unique background that is a little different from most people. She was born and raised in the United States, learned Korean the same way as her mother, and then as an adult, gave birth to a child in Korea and raised him there, teaching him English the same way as a mother.
Currently, I am actively working as a social media influencer in the field of English education for infants and toddlers. I also have extensive experience teaching many Koreans as a private tutor for Korean students and as an English instructor at an academy.
In addition to these diverse experiences, the author wrote this book, “Real Mom’s English with an American Mom,” to share the know-how she has accumulated over many years while practicing mom’s English with parents who are just starting to practice mom’s English.

This book sets up 40 situations based on everyday life with children, and organizes the content into useful conversational sentences that can be used to communicate with children in everyday life, allowing parents in the United States today to learn the phrases they use with their children.
We introduce useful expressions that are unfamiliar to Koreans but are frequently used by native speakers, and we expand many expressions through collocations, which are combinations of words that are often used together.
As a bilingual native speaker of both English and Korean, the author has a keen understanding of Korean and American culture and the emotions of learners. Therefore, he provides specific explanations of expressions and pronunciations that Koreans often make mistakes with, not only in grammar but also in terms of cultural background.

Additionally, we have introduced English nursery rhymes appropriate for each situation to help you easily learn English expressions for everyday life, so that you can enjoyably learn important English sentences you have learned previously through songs.
Finally, we introduce English picture books related to each situation to help you understand what you have learned in the past in a broader and deeper way.
Reading the English picture books introduced here with your child will greatly help them understand when to use these sentences and the background and situations behind them.

There are already a number of excellent English textbooks and workbooks on the market.
Among them, this book's greatest feature and strength is that it introduces expressions and words that native speakers actually use, not expressions found in textbooks, and that as a mother who is actually practicing Mom's English, the content is composed of sentences that she would like to use with her children, picture books that she would like to read, and nursery rhymes that she would like to tell them.
