Wine Story
Description
Book Introduction
“A good glass of wine is a journey to another world.”
Wine Humanities: Savoring History, Culture, and Stories
A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.
From the Chambertin that Napoleon drank
To Chateau Montferrat, famous for "Drops of God"
A wine guidebook told through the stories of those who make and drink wine.
This book introduces a total of 50 wines with stories.
Unlike other wine books, it does not focus on information and evaluation of wine.
Focusing on the unique story each wine has, each bottle becomes a short story.
Long sentences were extracted from one word, and short fragments were extracted from one line of motif.
The 'Amici' wine is a short story derived from the word 'friendship', and the 'Chambertin' wine is a short story derived from the phrase 'Napoleon's favorite drink'.
So, despite being a wine book, this book is very much a novel.
Everything starts from fiction, and the author's imagination is fully mobilized to entertain and impress the readers.

Into the book
The golden palace, or 'Domus Aurea', was the decisive factor in the downfall of Emperor Nero.
The reason for this was that the people's hard work was used to build this splendid palace, which turned their hearts away.
The wine's name, derived from the Domus Aurea, the symbol of Emperor Nero, who was notorious as the greatest tyrant of the Roman Empire, is striking, almost unrealistic.
---From "Domus Area - The Golden Palace"
After persistent courtship by King Baudouin of Belgium, Fabiola finally opened her heart and they had a secret engagement on December 15, 1960.
It was to turn public opinion in their favor and buy time to prepare for the wedding of the century that would transcend national borders.
And exactly one year later, on December 15, 1961, they got married.
The wine selected as the royal wedding wine at that time was Perellada Fabiola wine.
---From "Perelada Fabiola - The Love of the Century"
On my way back home after the war, I passed through the town of Schengen near the Moselle River.
The peaceful, quiet, and beautiful scenery of this village, as if in a dream, was a stark contrast to the war.
It felt as if this was the land of freedom, the land of peace, that I had been searching for.
I immediately picked up my pen and started drawing.
The tree of liberty was painted in the middle of the village against the backdrop of the village's beautiful scenery.
And it was inscribed with the words, “My neighbors passing by, this is now the land of the free!”
---From "Dichttraum Riesling Sekt - Tree of Freedom"
“Who are you and what did you do before? What were you thinking and doing?”
“I told you not to ask questions!
“Cheers to your eyes!”
---From "Stop - Casablanca"
It was when I went on a cruise to Northern Europe.
Even after 2 a.m., the weather was as bright as day.
Even though it was the time when darkness should have fallen, the sun was still high in the sky, and paradoxically, I wanted to drink Torres Mas La Plana, also known as the "Black Legend," together with the white night.
