Into the book
People always ask me the same question when they find out what I do.
“How on earth do conglomerate leaders exercise?”
“Are their lives really as glamorous as we imagine?”
I always smiled quietly and kept silent.
In this world, silence was the rule.
Not showing emotions and not saying unnecessary things.
That was my own rule of survival.

'See not, hear not, speak not.'
It was a place where even a small word or an unnecessary gesture could have meaning.
But I wasn't just a trainer.
Teaching exercise was only a small part of my role.
I was responsible for their health and worked with them on their schedules like an attendant.
Sometimes, I had to act as a secretary to prepare for the unexpected, sometimes as a fitness expert to maintain optimal condition, and sometimes as a psychologist to relieve their stress. What VVIPs wanted wasn't a perfect body, but a balanced daily life.
One day, the group chairman suddenly asked me a question.
“Explain the principle of salt absorption into cells.”
My head suddenly went blank.
Another VVIP, the wife of a wealthy businessman, asked, “Please explain the relationship between exercise and cancer.”
I started explaining in a second, but I couldn't hide my trembling heart.
At that moment, I realized for sure.
To be recognized in this place, it is not enough to be someone who only knows about sports.
The desperation that I couldn't endure with just simple exercise knowledge, the desperate need to survive, enveloped my whole body.
From that day on, I studied late into the night every day.
And then I realized.
These unexpected questions were not simply a test of knowledge.
Their keen intellect constantly made me question the nature of my role and what I had to prove in this position.
I had to become a “health strategist” who optimized not only their bodies, but their entire day, and ultimately their entire lives.
--- From "Prologue: 'A Moment of Fate Encountered in the Most Strict Place on Earth'"

The elevator door opens with a cold mechanical sound.
The highest floor, which I still can't get used to.
The air suddenly became heavy.
A tension that reaches deep into the lungs.
My gaze lingered for a moment on the floor, reflecting the monotonous light of the fluorescent lights.
All I can hear is the faint noise of the air conditioning system intermittently.
Time has passed, but this space still feels unfamiliar.
It feels quieter, heavier, and more tense.
There is no such thing as familiar comfort here as time passes.
The top button I first pressed with trembling hands has now become a daily routine.
And the new world that button opened up was beyond my imagination.
No one could have imagined that the first day of work would be such a long journey.
I take a short breath and straighten my shoulders.
I pick up the collar of my uniform once more and check with my fingertips that the buttons are not undone.
You should always dress neatly and tidy.
As someone who works closest to the Chairman, I believe that my appearance reflects his character.
I've been doing this for years, but this moment always makes me nervous.
I will soon have to face the Chairman alone.
My role on the surface is to lead training, but it's actually much more complicated than that.
During that time, I have to lead the flow, steer the conversation to an appropriate topic, and flexibly control the atmosphere.
The chairman doesn't say much.
There is almost no change in facial expression.
The only clues to his emotional state were the tone of his voice that day and the occasional faint nasal breathing.
However, if the silence is prolonged, the atmosphere becomes awkward.
So I sometimes make light remarks.
Sometimes I feel that the chairman's mood is different than usual.
At times like that, my mind becomes busier.
"What happened? What topic should I bring up today to lighten the mood?"
Avoid asking unnecessary questions.
However, we cannot just leave the awkward silence alone.
This delicate tightrope walk remains difficult at every moment.

“What kind of exercise should I do today?”
Whenever the chairman asks, I immediately suggest a session that suits the condition of the day.
On days when I have a presentation, I correct my posture by exercising my upper body and core, and after a long flight, I focus on stretching to help with circulation in my lower body.
All these judgments must be made in an instant.
Sometimes, I ask my secretary for advice to understand the chairman's intentions and mood.
Then the secretaries would sometimes say it jokingly.
“No one in our group gets to meet the chairman so often and for such a long time.
“The coach himself knows the chairman better than we do.”
--- From "'Silence and Psychological Warfare Every Day'"

While training the wives of wealthy families, I was able to observe how they each pursued health with different approaches.
While Mrs. A succeeded with her dress project through visualization and music, and Mrs. B showed her iron will through intense strength training and detox, Mrs. C's journey was an experience on a completely different level.
Unlike other wives, she never mentioned anything about weight or strength.
Instead, the first thing he said to me was unexpected.
“Trainer, I want to change my mind, not my body.”
I was momentarily taken aback by those words.
I've had countless first consultations, but this was the first time I'd had a start like this.
Most clients state specific physical goals such as 'I want to lose weight', 'I want to build muscle', or 'I want to improve my stamina'.
But Mrs. C was different.
“No matter how healthy your body is, if your mind is anxious, you will eventually become exhausted.
“True health begins with a balance between body and mind.”
The moment I heard that, I felt like I had a lot to learn from her.
As a trainer, I've primarily focused on physical health, but perhaps I've overlooked the fact that mental health is also the foundation. It felt like a new challenge.
--- From the main text, “A healthy routine centered on the inner self shown by the wife”

After you finish this book, you too will return to your daily life.
A busy day, a repetitive routine, and endless work.
But let's remember one thing.
What path are you on now? And are you creating a life without regrets at the end of it?
Walking that path, I discovered the essence of life beyond mere physical training.
And I hope that through this book, you too have taken to heart at least one thing that is more important than exercise.
Change your body, change your life.
But what changes life is ‘people’.
This is the biggest lesson I've learned on this long journey.
The ultimate reason we pursue health is not simply to live longer, but to live more fully.
A healthy body is a tool that allows us to share more moments with our loved ones, build deeper connections, and live a more meaningful life.
Of all the successful people I've met, the ones who were truly happy weren't those who simply had wealth and fame.
They were people who took care of their health, nurtured precious relationships, and lived according to their own values.
Now it's time to fill it with your story.
--- From the epilogue, “Health that completes your life”

Publisher's Review
The lives of the top 0.001%, inside their secret wisdom.

This book goes beyond simply taking care of your body, delving deeply into how health management can become a powerful self-development strategy that directs your life.
The message, “Health begins with attitude, not muscles!” offers insight that goes beyond physical training to the essence of inner growth and success.
It explains the secrets of self-care that apply to all of us: something everyone can do, but not everyone can achieve.

The author observes the top 0.001% of conglomerates and discovers that their overwhelming achievements stem from a firm "attitude" toward prioritizing physical health over life's most important value.
For them, health was not a temporary management, but a key "strategy" to maintain peak condition in the fierce business battlefield, exercise sharp judgment, and secure unwavering resilience in the face of adversity.
Ultimately, this means that the discipline to manage one's body leads to leadership to manage one's life.

The 'attitude' that the author emphasizes in the book is a comprehensive self-development method that values the overall balance of body, mind, and life.
Focus on inner peace and consistent daily habits rather than external glamour.
Practices like a consistent daily routine, mindful eating, and stress management are essential not only for physical health but also for mental clarity and vitality.
It emphasizes that these small habits accumulate to develop the power to lead an individual's life and ultimately form the essential self-development ability of a 'successful person.'

This book transforms the secret self-management know-how of top executives into wisdom for our lives.
Beyond simply introducing specific exercise methods, it presents ways to maximize the effectiveness of life through health, foster internal growth, and ultimately move toward the life you desire.

Exercise, diet, mental well-being, and stress management.
