Records for my work
Description
Book Introduction
The 'Death Note' written every night
It becomes a useful record,
All of that process goes into creating a brand called Nara.
A journaling habit for me to grow in work and life!
A documentation guide for anyone who wants to document themselves, their work, and their lives.
_A method of recording that changed the lives of tens of thousands through Mitmi, Publi, and YouTube.
People who buy a diary every year but don't know what to write in it.
People who are wondering how to utilize the records they have steadily accumulated in their schedules and diaries.
A person who is creating a portfolio for the first time in order to change jobs.
I want to create my own work and brand, but I don't know where to start.
This book is a record guide for such people.
The author, exhausted from his work life, began writing to find the joy of growing as himself.
For the first few years, I just wrote down the 'Death Note' without thinking, but gradually I was able to record my work and life in a more efficient way, and eventually, the records brought me inner growth and new opportunities.
Author Jegal Myeong (Dan Dan), a former Kakao marketer and now a digital record coach, has compiled the essence of record-keeping methods he has learned through over 10 years of struggle into this book.

Into the book
This book contains just that method.
I have carefully compiled the essence of the record-keeping method that I have developed over the past 10 years while struggling to raise myself.
I'm not a bestselling author, a professor of archiving, or a businessman who's made a fortune selling archiving tools.
But there is one thing I can say with confidence.
Through records, I am diligently discovering the unique charm hidden within me and sharing it with the world, and I am creating my brand through records.
In other words, the record created my own brand.
--- p.8, from "Prologue"
It's not about recording ideas.
Only by writing things down do ideas emerge.
Once you open a notebook and start writing something, those feelings, experiences, and words become keys that unlock the book.
In the vast web of memory, the following signals can be found:
Again, inspiration begins with the act of writing.
Inspiration comes when I look at and record the trivial experiences of everyday life from a perspective that is slightly different from others.
--- p.46, from “Chapter 1: Can Records Become a Brand?”
As you repeat the record detox, you will begin to get a sense of what will survive from the moment you absorb the input.
There is less pressure to record every input that looks good, and you are more selective about only accepting quality input that you want to keep for a long time.
At this stage, you no longer even need to do a nightly recording detox.
In an age of input overload, only systematically organized records can become content and a brand that will shine.
--- pp.92~93, from “Chapter 2: How to Build a Record of Yourself in 10 Minutes a Day”
The identity and direction of our work will continue to change in the future, and it is only natural that our name and slogan will change accordingly.
If I properly record, organize, and understand my own core that penetrates the center, I can expand my territory without hesitation and tell my story in three dimensions.”
--- p.187, Chapter 3 When My Own Record Becomes Content That Works
The best way to change the human unconscious in a healthy way is to keep a diary.
Keeping a diary is a declarative act of reclaiming control and editorial control over your life.
There is no need to be dragged along by the subconscious that only talks about negative things.
The purpose of a journal is to discover and balance both the negative and positive aspects of myself.
--- p.217, from “Chapter 4 Records, Creating a Brand Name”
The record doesn't offer a surefire way to make money outside of work right away.
I think that's the great utility value of the record.
We, who stand guard in the stadium where those in a hurry have left, are safe, without the need to compete with each other or worry about falling behind.
You can grow in your own way, in your own field, without having to be conscious of competitors.
Uniqueness follows naturally.

Publisher's Review
What can be accomplished with records?
10 minutes of recording a day creates your own brand!
_Easy and Effective 5-Step Recording Method for Ordinary People
What can we learn from the record-keeping methods of someone who isn't a professor of archiving, the CEO of a successful diary app, or a best-selling author? The author answers.
For us ordinary people, we need practical record keeping methods, not fancy records.
We share practical tips for office workers to keep track of their work, whether on the subway or in the evening after work, and the five steps to turning those records into content and branding.
Step 1: 15-Second Inspiration Note
From collecting inspiration so you can instantly save ideas that pop into your head without forgetting them, to setting up an environment that makes you open your own personal journaling app every morning instead of the dopamine-filled social media.
Here are some surprising ways to keep track of the bright ideas that pop up in your daily life.
Step 2: Record Detox
No matter how useful the records are, if tens of thousands of them are piled up in disarray, they will likely never be looked at again.
Let's get into the habit of a 5-minute routine that quickly organizes all those obsessively captured reference images and useless memos, leaving only the records that are meaningful to me.
Step 3: Putting the records back in their proper place
"Where was that photo back then?" The more important the document, the more it's lost when it's needed most! What if you had the skills to efficiently utilize your carefully preserved records? Let's learn the "Step-by-Step Self" system, a record folder organization method that elevates the usability of your records to the next level.
Step 4: Record to Content
When you need to write a long piece or an interesting idea comes to mind, the "art of splicing" is a quick and easy way to complete a piece of content! By finding and combining key keywords from your notes, you'll also gain insight into how to transform your personal writing into content that resonates with others.
Step 5: Brand Your Content
The entire process of communicating with the world through content and continuously thinking about what people want creates a brand called 'Naran.'
Let's take a closer look at the author's story of how he successfully developed his own personal brand by revealing his unique charm through his own unique approach to problem-solving.
Notes get scattered, but records become a portfolio!
How to create and use the right writing habits for you
_Includes dream board, problem-solving notes, and portfolio templates
From the "Dream Board" to help you visualize and achieve your dream life, to the "Problem Solving Note" to develop your concerns into solutions for everyone, to the "Portfolio" to showcase your talents both inside and outside the company.
Start creating your own digital records right now with Notion templates.
Throughout the process of building records and building a brand, we can grow.
There are plenty of people in the world who are better at their jobs than me and have more followers on social media.
But I am the only one who has spent time thinking about, trying, and solving the same problem in the same way as I have.
Let me turn the very problem that is bothering me into my own question.
Let's take the time to think deeply and record the process of finding our own solution.
That will make us a brand.
_From the text
Keeping records isn't the fastest path to growth and success.
But because it's slow, it allows me to grow more reliably and in my own way.
Now, it is time to take hold of the powerful weapon called records and move on to my work for tomorrow.
